Awww Diva was worried about the fans accepting her. You're a Haskins and you play well, of course we'd accept you

Diva is the real deal. She plays well and has much more tangible connection to this music than even the most passionate tones on tail enthusiasts.

"Rain" is their best deep cut. just my humble opinion !

Love *'RAIN'* ... It was always interesting playin' that song and seeing/hearing responses...People always tended to wonder where that long intro was going (if anywhere). But when the track kicks in... ❤🚀

saw the show last night. there are few things i never thought i would hear live and tones on tails is one of them. so grateful i did! what an experience! dancing to GO live was so exhilarating!!!

A combined LnR and ToT set is such a great idea. I see David J. is back playing Bauhaus songs with Peter Murphy, so maybe we get the best of all worlds this way, without Daniel and Peter killing each other.

Love this interview! Took my 15 year old son to see POPTONE (his first concert!). He found ToT on his own and is a fan. True story - I wanted to name my son Ash in honor of Daniel, however his immigrant grandparents would have pronounced his name as “Ass”. Oh well.

Immigrant grandparents? So where is he actually from?

Amazing interview , wish more were like that …. Great hearing about there first album influences ….. thinking back and when i stole my sisters copy of “press the eject” , changed everything ….. after that all allowance/odd jobs went to buying Bauhaus , tones on tail, and my still favorite Love and Rockets albums and cds

I like the interview but you might need more than one mic when you are dealing with more than one person... just a thought... too much was lost by you pulling it away from people when they were talking.

Kevin is such a saint, I've met him a few times and he's a genuinely sweet and grounded guy. Daniel is a super talented guy but he needs to get off the drugs and put his ego in check.

No disrespect to Diva but, they should've gotten Glenn back. Taking into consideration the fact that Daniel confirms the majority of tracks played are Tones On Tail tracks... (P.S. _'Burning Skies'_ should be on the setlist)
@gamalon6 жыл бұрын
Totally agree ! Glenn should return to the band while keeping Diva as well. the 2 could switch between bass and keyboards depending on the pieces and they could add "Rain" in the setlist !

Bela Lugosi's Dead with Rolf Harris' "wobble board" would be hilarious.
No wonder Daniel reminded me of Sid Vicious in his younger days. (espcially Bauhaus live in '79)

Are they doing the roadhouse on twin peaks?

Bought Tones on Tail album when it came out and it's ok and the first Love and Rockets album too but never got into them as much as Bauhaus. Was great when Bauhaus reformed in the mid 2000s. Shame it didn't last. Looking at the records alone that Murphy did post 1983 and what Ash did I'd have to say that Murphy's have stood the test of time better.

Diva worked at Aaron’s Records in high school? They closed in 2006. I thought she’d be too young even then. I guess she’s a little older than I thought.

I wish Poptone or L&R would play the UK again. Was lucky enough to see both bands (L & R and ToT) in the 80s and would love to hear those songs live again, moreso than bauhaus which just seems like a meaningless cash cow to me as it is patently obvious they all hate Murphy (sorry!!). Like Kevin my first single was Leader of the Gang by Gary Glitter, both performers exposed as paedos and should never be spoken of again!!
