Interview with Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland

@Von Gröger I think you fail to understand that a PM is not a dictator; her government is a coalition government of 5 different parties and her role is to mediate between the different opinions. In that sense yes, other people decide what she can tell and do, as it must have the approval of the government and secondly, it must have the approval of the parliament. So far she has been able to solve every problem the government has faced since 2019, otherwise the government would have been forced to resign.

@Filipina Bloom Not by Finnish law. The government as a whole or individual ministers can be placed in a vote of approval by the Parliament. PM is not responsible of the actions of other ministers. The parliament can vote out any single minister of the government individually, which is way more common than trying to replace the entire government. Responsibility of what another adult has done is fairly far from the Finnish way of thinking. The PM can basically fail in the tasks specifically given to her, like attending EU meetings, or in the arranging of the necessary government meetings. The 'national leader' is the Parliament that has the ultimate power, not the PM nor the President that have limited tasks.

PM Marin presents as not only highly intelligent, direct and compassionate, but also somewhat selfless in that she doesn't seem to possess the ego so many of her male counterparts do. The video you reference doesn't say anything about drugs, neither doe's Marin's youthful [over 25, under 40] party. You made that up about amphetamine. Wasn't is supposed to be cocaine anyway? Marin did a full drug test and she shouldn't have. What right did anyone on the opposition right or left, let alone the tabloids, ask for that. That was the week when she let her guard down and even wept on national TV. I got a bit worried. It was relieving to see her a week later skin the opposition leaders on TV, as usual.
