I had heard of Show-Ya but didn't know much of their music. I just knew that they had influenced a lot of the female bands in Japan. I bought their new album and really liked it. It's an excellent power metal album. I liked it so much I bought all their 10 albums from the 80's on cdjapan. They just arrived yesterday. Their old stuff is hard rock/glam metal but the new album is European power metal.

この元コメが最も共感者数の多いコメントであることを編集担当者は胸に刻むべき。 撮影スタジオのホリゾント前でピンマイクもなしに録画したら、こんな音質になることぐらいわかりそうなものだが。 いくら雑誌撮影のついでに撮った動画とはいえ、もう少し品質を考慮しないと登場してくれたSHOW-YAにも失礼だし、あまりに聞き取りづらくて字幕が必要なレベル。 編集者にはそういう気配りと、より良く見せる（聞かせる）ためのひと手間を惜しまない気質が必須。 YOUNG GUITAR誌のモノ作りのレベルってこんな感じなんですか？　と言われても仕方ないですね。 次回は改善されていないと恥ずかしいですよ。 私もメディアで働く者として、わざと厳しく書かせていただきました。

Their latest release, "SHOWDOWN," is the first album in the band's history to be released overseas, and it also features a variety of challenges, such as a style that emphasizes HR/HM to the maximum extent possible and English lyrics throughout the album. What are the members' impressions of this album? In this video, all five members gather to talk about their thoughts on this powerful new album. Magazine Appearance: Young Guitar September 2021 (featuring SHOW-YA) SHOW-YA is a Japanese Hard Rock Heavy Metal band with five female members. The band is a pioneer of Japanese girl metal bands composed entirely of women in the 1980s. The predecessor of the band was the band "Medusa" with vocalist Keiko Terada and keyboardist Miki Nakamura, which later changed its name to "SHOW-YA". In 1982, the band won the grand prize in the ladies' division of a band contest sponsored by YAMAHA. In 1985, they made their major label debut with Toshiba EMI Japan. Two songs from their seventh album "Outerlimits" released in 1987, their 8th single "Marginal Lovers" and 9th single " I Am a Stormy Woman " became consecutive hits, and the album sold over 600,000 copies, making them the most popular girl metal band in Japan at that time. The band went through member changes, breakups, and reunions, and is one of those rare bands where the original members are still active with a career spanning over 35 years. It is truly regrettable that SHOW-YA did not have the chance to sign a contract with a Western record company to release their works（CDs, DVD） in the global market during their young heyday. At this point I think they could almost take Naon no Yaon on the road and sell out in a lot of places. It would have be 2 full days to cover all the fan favorites. Only problem is Band-Maid wouldn't come along for the ride.

I think they should just put an all-out tour like the original clash of the titans tour of Slayer, Megadeth , Anthrax with Alice in chains opening from 90-91 . They could onslaught America with Show-Ya , Band-Maid , Lovebites , and have either Nemophila and Mary's Blood opening the shows or they could alternate shows.... Just a thought and a wish !list thing..lol. Hell , why not make it a bill of Anthem , Loudness, and Outrage added to it and make it a 2 day fest , a cultural event dare I say . Yep , I dare...Now that would be awesome..

Either way it'll be released worldwide later on. I think there's nothing to worry about and this album will be released on Aug. 30th still hasn't been released even in Japan yet.

日本人が海外で失敗する典型的パターンは、英語でうたうこと。Baby metalみたいに日本語に自信をもって世界で勝負しないとな。ポールマッカートニーが日本語でBzを歌ってヒットすると思うかい? 母国語で歌うから魂が伝わるんだよ。XJAPANも日本語で海外デビューしていたら成功したと思います。
