Steve is greatest. And Toto of course. You can see how deeply he's hurt in the first part. When he's playing or talk about music his face lighten up. If you read this Steve,please know that we stand behind you. Same as your music helped so many of us in real hard times.

Steve Lukather is fantastic. He's doing some of the best music of his career right now. That's very rare for a 50-something artist with more than 30 years playing. And he's improving as a lyricist, which was always Toto's weak point. One day, he'll be rightly seen as one of the greats of our time.

When he gets to the "Thriller" conversation, he said the *exact same thing* in another interview this same year. It's on KZbin. It's literally almost word-for-word the same. Bizarre...

I think the reason he never got a date with Steely dan is because they were probably happy with their collection of guitarists on their payroll. Plus they were after full on jazz guys. As for the Thriller stuff, you don't hear a lot about Rod Temperton either. If he was African American and from the States, he'd be seen as a God.
