Ummm. I'm sorry but, Steve Ray claims foreshadowing or typography of Mary when praying the rosary and cites 1 Kings 2:19! I suggest you read the whole chapter, at least, the rest of the story. Firstly, Bathseba is anything but a "Type" of Mary (she committed adultery with King David, and got pregnant). Second, in this scene, she asks her son King Solomon to give permission for a certain woman to be given to her oldest son in marriage and King Solomon's response to her request is to kill his brother ON THE SPOT! May want to rethink that one. Just saying.

Its symbolic of the mother’s significance to the son not her sin. Just like when Mary is referred to as the New Eve it doesn’t mean she’s betraying God like Eve. Take the time to listen to others speak on “typology” as it pertains to Mary. Typology is the Bible on such a deep and beautiful level.

Who were the queens of Ancient Israel? The kings' wives? No, the kings' mothers. In Ancient Israel, the Queen was the King's Mother. Yes, Solomon refused his Mother's, the Queen, request. But why do ignore the fact that Solomon bowed down to her?

If Jesus is King of Israel, indeed King of the Universe, who is the Queen? Revelation 12.
