It's crazy how the woman they sacrificed, Annika, was played by the director's assistant ! She's actually primarily an actress and her name is Sinead Phelps. Her acting was impeccable, she did a great job !

Fun fact, besides the fact that obviously theatre is a big part of this season, from the props to staging, most of the cast are theatre kids themselves. Ben Daniels (Santiago), Delainey Hayles (Claudia) and Assad Zaman (Armand), they all have been in theatre plays before they were on TV, even some of the Vampire Coven are real life stage actors that they got exclusively to be a part of the show, so the acting range on this season is absolutely nuts. I think you'll see it more in episode 5, arguably the best episode until now, where the acting and staging makes it feel like a live play.

Yeah, the bottle episode in this season, episode 5, is just three british theater actors bouncing off of each other the entire time and it's absolutely captivating!

I believe Louis suggests that the story is bringing up that memory, or trigger as he says, in Daniel's mind and they're quick to point it out to him to rattle him.

Completely relate to your wish for more Lestat (he's my fave, what can I say?) - but there's no denying the sparing use of his appearances does make me yearn for a reunion between him and Louis even more! Santiago and Armand are great additions this season, and I think Delainey kills it as Claudia too! Lestat told the truth about his maker and the abuse his father did to him. Louis is not a reliable source of what happened in the past. Also this Louis is more arrogant and cruel than I remember from the book. Ben Price is the actor who plays Santiago and he is an incredible actor. Still can't stand Claudia. Daniel is having flashes of what happened back in 1973.

And so I guess Zuff didn't want to watch season 1 to catch up before they started season 2 (which is valid hecan do what he wants, you know? he doesn't have to watch every single show or movie that they watch on the channel if it doesn't interest him) ... Also, I remember Lestat saying that he was the one who could reach people really far away. At that point I believe we've only seen Louis and Claudia do the telepathy thing with someone immediately close. I think they're not quite there yet to scope an entire city's thoughts looking for an answer from a vampire.

Louis was definitely talking to Claudia... It became really apparent when he emphasized "me and you!" over and over. It was a way of saying NOT Lestat, even though he still haunted his mind. He didn't want to be haunted by Lestat's memory and the guilt of what he'd done, so he would want to block him out.
