Armand's complexity is what makes him so interesting to me, and now I can't wait to hear what you'll think of the next ep!! Also, however you feel about Lestat, there's no denying his appearances aren't a highlight of each episode (at least, to me they are, lol)!🤣

100%! It's hard to have favs in this show because they keep moving up the ranks, then going down, and then back up again. It's just such a BRILLIANT story! Everytime Lestat is on screen it gives me a mini heart attack. 🙈

The artist europeanized Armand for the painting. Armand is such a complex character, and he was written that way. He can be a monster and a sympathetic figure. He was both an enemy and friend to Lestat.

For me one other thing with Claudia's play is that she is playing Paul, Louis' brother. Bird talking and falling of the building? It was cruel play for both of them.

Great point! I never noticed this nor think it would be intentional 🧐

Best moments from this episode: 1) Louis declining to claim Armand as his companion. 😏 2) Lestat laughing his ass off and mocking Louis' "I love you" to Armand. 😂 3) Armand putting interloping, murdering Claudia in her place. 😎 4) Lestat referring to Louis' relationship with Armand as "your dalliance with that manipulative gremlin." 🤣 5) Claudia enters the room, screaming at the top of her lungs. Lestat to Louis: "Speaking of poor decisions..." 😱 6) Louis and Lestat sitting on the park bench in the rain, Louis telling him the suit he's wearing is "my favorite on you." Lestat: "You might not know this, but I had the tailor inscribe your initials on the backside of the ticket pocket...right here...so your name would always cradle [my heart]..." ❤

Lestat is technically more powerful than Armand. However, given this is Armand's point of view, it's not strange that he'd make himself appear to be stronger. Nevertheless, they have altered so much in the TV series. In the books, they either possess a certain gift or they don't. There's no way of learning abilities. Armand is exceptional skilled with the mind gift. Lestat is incredibly powerful/strong, way beyond his years. It is essentially luck of the draw. Aside from that, Lestat and Armand share the same powers: fire, mind, cloud, and so on. In the books, Louis is feeble and lacks anything unique to vampires. He has the standard heightened hearing, strength, and vision. But that is also why he is seen as special. As the most human of their kind. All I'd say is, don't believe much of what Armand says. Looking forward to your next few reactions. The last two episodes especially. I won't give anything away. Many surprises and emotions. 🤫

No way! I thought strength, abilities and power were measured by linage and age. But maybe personality or human qualities are also heightened because I feel like Lestat was more or less the same as a human... but just guessing please don't confirm or deny hahaha And yes, I think I've learned my lesson. I ain't trusting anyone anymore. I take everything with a pinch of salt because they all tell their own version of the story! 😆 Thanks! Can't wait for the rest too!

In the show though I believe Louis is portrayed a a much stronger character due to the blood he shares with Lestat and I’m really glad for that as I am a big fan of Louis

Anne Rice trivia time!!!!!! So, with Armand's backstory, its for the most part right but there is one thing im trying to figure out: the part of him being groomed by his maker. When you get to knowing his maker, its one of those things he got wrong. I cant go into much detail, but there are things that i dont think Armand understands yet. His story with his maker is one where you feel bad for him, but once you get his maker you start understanding why he misunderstood everything. While im always team Lestat, armand is one where i either want to hug him or pimp slap him for being arrogant over him being a pure sewer gremlin. But in the end, given his abuse as a human, i understand why he craves power and control but also needs one person to reign him in. How he'll develop over this series is going to be interesting. In terms of the fight scene in the diner, i dont know but something about Louis unleashing his inner dom top makes ke lowkey happy. XD But how they did it is a bit more interesting than how the original novel did things: actually building up their mutual hatred besides Santiago just being a complete c word. Same with Madeline: build up more as a character than as a stand in (in the novel, she was a doll maker who cant move on from her daughters passing which explains why she would want an eternal daughter) while making a more solid foundation for those two and their characters. But yeah, half way done with season two. I swear: seeing someone experience this for the first time is satisfying to watch. Can't wait to see your brain and emotions get fried more than what KFC does. Lol

I love me some Trivia, so thanksss! I see your point on Armand about loving him and slapping him, but at this point I want to do that with EVERY single character! LOL It's also interesting to me hearing about the differences between novel & adaptation, so keep them coming! (no spoilers though!) 😆I love the KFC analogy

How did they do it in the book? I read it years ago but don't remember that even being a part of it
@zachbrehany22533 ай бұрын
@@IndieRockerHippy in terms of Interview, we don't get this or even Claudia's sides. The novel was only from Louis' perspective so he didn't really get any answers at that time. For Armand's side, we have volume six (The Vampire Armand) that goes into complete detail. For Claudia, there is the graphic novel Interview With The Vampire: Claudia's Story for that information.

@@zachbrehany2253 sorry, I was referring to Louis and his inner dom. The original commenter said they way they did it was different in the book. I have read the first 5 books
