@@MrsDeeDee313 The idea is that in telenovelas, people always end up unknowingly entangling themselves with others they shouldn't be, e.g. in Daniel's example, the protagonist eloped with a woman he loved, but turned out to be his enemy's widow. That is a staple of the genre because of the drama involved when all the messy relationships intermingle. So he is saying that Lestat turning out to be their founder and messiah figure is a hilariously convenient and over the top narrative parallel to telenovelas when they do the same thing. "omg, THATS who founded the troupe?! I can't believe it! My greatest enemy! (lover, in this case)" vibe. Hope I understood that well. I love the joke so I thought I would help if I could. :)
