I had the pleasure of doing some background work with the show too but different shoots than ms Kristi. I was apart of the Polynesian gay bar scene and it was amazing can't wait to see it when it comes out.

I love getting to see her be featured here. As Elisa said,she was part of making the show. All actors are equal imo.

Voice Actor here. A lot of times background sounds,even reactions from other characters, are done in post with a loop group. Very often sets are quiet except for the principal cast. If you hear conversation in the background, it's likely they got four people to stand under a mic and do all the voices they can and mimic chatter. Little noises like door knocks, footsteps etc are often added in post as well.

I am loving the Interview With a Vampire TV Show. The lush 1910s/1920's costumes are a visual treat! Bailey Bass is riveting as Claudia, she's a star! And the Sex worker characters all wear the correct underpinnings! Seriously, It's refreshing to see sexy characters filmed with no gratuitous shots of sexy corsets touching bare skin! Looking @ you Vampire Diaries and The Alienist! Have I gushed enough?!

The 2nd 2nd AD (assistant director) is in charge of setting/directing background - they're sometimes helped out by PAs (production assistants). Setting background is one of the most stressful jobs on set imho.

I bet i forgot which actor said it, but they were very aware that it takes a team to make them look good. The background setting makes the film or series realistic.

I believe so, and from her description of how they worked the industry should have had them a long time ago. Actors (mainly actresses) have had a history of feeling pressured to do scenes they aren't comfortable with for the sake of the project Very interesting to hear how they worked, I knew they were on sets nowadays but I never knew exatcly how they opperated

The only thing i didnt like about the show so far was when louis ate those animals, wish they cut their reaction sound effects out cuz listening to them made me want to change the channel, felt bad for that alley cat and that fox 🙄

It's supposed to be gross and uncomfortable. It would be unrealistic and strange to cut the sound.

@@MavenoftheEventide reginald the vampire is a mixed bag at best. i thought it would be in the same league of comedy as "what we do in the shadows" but it's been quite disappointing actually. the candy aesthetic is nice but the extremely low budget nature of it is showing both in the writing and cgi department.

Crissy is so lucky! She's literally in the scene where they introduce Lestat to the show. i thought that scene with Lestat turning, and for the first time we can see this new Lestat was just magic! Sam Reid subtly reigns in that scene!
