I don't agree that Louis doesn't care about anyone except himself. When he thought he was going to die, Claudia was the last and only thing on his mind. He begged for HER life, not his own. And he did say he didn't like Armand parading her around in the dress. At the same time, Claudia was committed to joining the coven and Louis didn't interfere when they were hazing her, etc before she joined. However, I do agree that things shifted once Louis started to have real feelings for Armand, after his revelation in the art gallery. And like Claudia said 'Oh, I forgot, love makes you STUPID!" I think, at this point, Louis trusts Armand and doesn't for a minute believe he will harm her because of how much he loves Louis. I also agree that Louis can be insensitive and blind. I don't think he believes Armand would still be jealous of Lestat after all these decades. But that just shows that he doesn't really know Armand. I also agree that Louis isn't a victim. He has a very real temper when he's crossed. That's actually what turned Lestat on about Louis - seeing the he was willing to pull a knife on his own brother in order to save face with his employees and customers. His rage is what led to Claudia being created in the first place.

I feel like ones he’s in love he just turns into a whole dff person- he’s that person that whenever they get into a new relationship they just forget you even existed in the firsts place - and if u are on the receiving end of this it can be devastating- you feel like you never mattered to them- He’s very insensitive in my opinion like I said - the things he said he infront of Armand I was like bruh are u serious- I wouldn’t sit there and let u talk about ur ex like that- that’s was insensitive

Armand is 100% trying to get rid of Claudia. You’re only safe from Armand if he loves you. And he has proven over and over that he doesn't give a damn about Claudia, only Louis. I'm also almost positive that this whole thing is completely his idea, and he’s just framing it in a way to make himself look as good as possible. I totally agree that Louis is selfish. It’s something that has always been present, but like you said, wasn’t very obvious because of how overtly toxic Lestat is. It’s important to note that Louis’ hallucination of Lestat says exactly what Louis wants him to say, and nearly every time Armand is with Louis that hallucination is making fun of him. Those are Louis’ innermost thoughts about Armand, he’s just using him to try and get over Lestat which obviously isn't working. Also, Louis blatantly uses Armand’s trauma against him in the rain scene, stepping into his old pimp mentality to try and gain power over Armand. It works too, because Armand calls Louis maitre or master at the end of the scene. Armand needs people to attach himself to, and help him decide who he is as a person. That was shown with Lestat in episode 3, and again this episode. That's not to say that he isn't a toxic mess too, because he absolutely is. He’s just as manipulative as Lestat, and selfish as Louis. However, his motivations come from a much more empathetic place than many of Louis’ motives. I loved this episode overall, I think it did great in showcasing that Louis isn't the bastion of morality he parades himself as. He’s a vampire just like all the rest. Great video! I look forward to the next one :)

The sad part is Louis not seeing exactly what is going on- all the signs are there they tryna get rid of Claudia- but it’s like he doesn’t give a damn- he’s one of those ppl that the moment they fell In love they just forget about u- it’s like you never existed

Louis is absolutely selfish. It’s always about his feelings before everybody else’s. But yet again all these vampires are traumatized.
