I agree with Santiago's death. It definitely warranted a worse death. He manipulated the whole thing and took his anger towards Louis out on Claudia.

Claudia played a part in her death. She joined that Coven, She kept journaling, she wanted Madeline turned into a vampire, and Louis told her they should leave Paris but she wanted to stay. There are other ways she contributed towards her death also. Claudia isn't innocent.
@swacfan1002 ай бұрын
I say the same thing, we loved her ,felt bad for her, but she wasn't innocent. She never should have been made. I felt bad for her, but I also felt bad for Maddie. That poor woman had nothing to do with any of this. But Claudia did motion for her to join the coven and live, but Maddie wasn't going out like that. ❤

Joining the Coven shouldn't have contributed to her death. That's her following the laws. Louis was the one they had a problem with because he refused to join the coven. She never intended to share her journal entries with anyone and Sam wrote a play detailing his vampiric life. They turn people into vampires all the time. Madeline shouldn't have been a problem. Especially since they made sure to hide after the incident. Claudia's only issue was being a child vamp, but as she aged mentally she gained more control over her and her urges.

Not in the book in the book she wanted to leave he wanted to stay, so they twisted the ending

I'm confused as to how he played a part in Claudia's death? He wanted to leave Paris as soon as he saw Lestat's picture, and Claudia was the one who wanted to stay. He only went along with Paris, hell, with Europe, to make her happy
@swacfan1002 ай бұрын
@LeeBrown-jm2pwClaudia didn't help herself either. She wanted to stay, even insisted. Writing in her diary even when Santiago told her it was forbidden. Soon as she found that out, she should have burned those. We loved her, it was sad seeing her and Maddie die like that. But Claudia was a monster as well, we know she was. Making her was the worst thing they did.

They changed it. It was the opposite in the book she wanted to leave and he wanted to stay because he captivated by was captivated

What really got me in the end was that Armand was enjoying seeing them suffer because of all the resentment he held towards them. As he directed the play, he also knew that Louis would be kidnapped. All those years later, he still never told the truth.
@spiritsage39212 ай бұрын
In my opinion he did help save Louis. I think he knew that Lestat was going to do it. And helped do the rest by getting him out of the wall whether the coffins were kept. He would have starved and Lestats help would have been moot. How do we know that the narrative we’re being fed is the truth? Each character perspective tries to paint a different narrative. There’s been multiple times where we thought we knew everything when we really didn’t. He literally said I gave you to Armand I feel whether it’s true or not. He knew that Lestat was gonna save him or he would’ve helped or intervened. I think Lestat made a deal with the coven. he wanted Louis to live regardless of whether he could be with him anymore. That’s love. Armand tried to warn them multiple times to leave Paris. In an interview with Assad he the only thing he ever lied about was the stuff at the trial and after because of Lestat not exposing him he was forced to keep up the lie. Which implies not harming him, but failing him was because he knew Lestat would save Louis. He only directed the play he didn’t write the play. And in the article he said he was forced by the coven to do it. Armand can’t be alone he always has to have someone in his life, regardless of whether the relationship is loving or not. It’s all he’s known his entire life.

Interesting pov. I'm gonna keep it in mind when I rewatch the show. And like you said it's always someone's pov, so we don't really really know what happened. We'll just see where it's going

I just finished watching the finale of Interview With The Vampire, and my God, season 2 is a masterpiece! The story, acting, cinematography, character arcs, and dialogs were all stellar! Everything about that show is perfect! It's literally the best show on TV right now! Sesson 2 gets a 10/10

Yes! It's brilliant! So detailed! I'm definitely gonna rewatch it till new season will arrive

I can't believe the ending was as amazing as the show was. It was such a great ending! Louis not coming back to lestat and there reunion as whole was excellent! I loved how they showed louis's revenge. I find Santiago's death satisfying. But for me the underwhelming part was when louis confronted armand. I wish it was a little bit longer. Armand deserved to feel his anger. And of course I was excited for Daniel being turned into the vampire. Ending season with Louis calling every vampire out to get him is such an epic thrilling moment!

I like Armand, he is no worse than Lestat, eternal life is a boring bitch. But he already had Claudia out of his hair, she had her companion, she was on her way. Armand and Louis had 77 years without major drama, so Armand must of been good company. Lestat could have told Louis that he loved him in any number of ways. Ok on to season 3.

Does anybody know who Armand was feeding with a spoon ,was it just a random human or does it look like Nicki ? Seems like a strange specific shot to include in the finale ...please let me know what you think because its puzzling

One could say Claudia played a part in her death as well. We love Claudia, but she wasn't innocent. She was just as much a monster. Claudia was down with the savage shit the coven was doing, she wanted to join even when Louie wanted to leave. And Lestat did warn them of other vampires . I believe that even if she knew the laws, she STILL would've tried to kill Lestat. And would've been justified no doubt. I agree, Santiago's death was a little too quick for me too. But I get it, Louie had to get him when he could. This was to the death, not a lovers quarrel. Who knows what Santiago could do, plus Louie didn't expect to live through this. Well played Louie 👍🏾

I dont think no one wants to hear this but there really was no way to save Claudia once they found out she tried to kill lestat. Even if she did survive the trial people would have been coming after her until eventually she was killed. Same way they are going to come after louis.

I thought the show got renewed, but if not, it was a strong ending to the series!!
@fortelewisandrew24262 ай бұрын

Absolutely loved following your reviews every week! Great format, great insights, gratifyingly nuanced thoughts... Thank you for this little companionship through season 2! I just disagree about Santiago's death: the fact that it was so quick felt deliciously brutal and unforgiving to me. He didn't even get a chance to fight back. Good riddance!
