Dentistry is not easy, mbbs would be something easy to study imho. You become a engineer too while studying dentistry. Further the worst part of being a dentist is the pay that you can earn in india.

Proud to be a dentist since it requires more of each person's skills and the only drawback is setting up a nice clinic which requires more money for infrastructure and clinic space in a good business location.

If you don't want to settle earlier you can take any of the medical fields, because it needs lot of time and efforts to settle down (NEET UG+ BDS+ NEET MDS+ MDS) which will take roughly 10 years after your 12th standard,

Modern digital dentistry is such a gold mine as said by Major Dr Pravin, but as a fresher we don't get the pay we deserve in the initial years, once we get into the own practice or after MDS we can expect good amount of money

It's better to aim for MBBS to become a specialist doctor in future by sacrificing a few drop years. Most BDS students don't even have the courage to do dental surgery and end up doing MBA for jobs (which is also respectable btw, but it's not dentistry)

dentistry is not for first generation students, not for kids who have no good family economics.. you ll regert if are you the sole breadwinner and if your family wait for your income .. choose wisely.. if you dont get govt dental college dont go for private college if you are economically suffering. Gestation period is very very long.

@@Karthicksteve It was mandatory long time ago. Without specialization, people can even prefer Ayurveda or homeopathy to heal. MBBS only has value after MD/MS when they take on serious cases that AYUSH can't.
