Interview with Truck Influencer Angelica Larsson | AHDT S2#35

In this episode I speak to Social Media Influencer Angelica Larsson. Angelica is a truck driver based in Sweden. She transports heavy machinery on a low loader and shares her stories, trials and tribulations with her following across her platforms.

She's always enthusiastic, loves to explain things to the viewer and her humor is top notch. Not to mention her lovely accent. This was an excellent interview, I really enjoyed it. :)

Great thoughtful interview. I was in long haul trucking sales and dispatch in the US for about 18 years and this young lady is right up there with the top drivers I worked with. Such a great attitude from her no matter what she's doing and is just a little ray of sunshine for everyone that follows her. Here in the US drivers for our large trucking companies are normally only expected to drive, secure and unsecure their loads. They are not expected to sort and stage freight on docks and then also load it. Amazing what she's willing to do. Driving a low boy which comes with hauling loads that are often over-weight and or over dimensional require highly qualified and tested drivers so she's at the top in her field as far as US standards are concerned. Love this girl and hope she's being highly compensated for what she brings to the industry and the companies she's employed at. If she came to the US to drive, she could earn a very good living as an "owner-operator". That's drivers that own their own tractor/truck and usually also own their trailer and lease on as an independent contractor with large trucking companies. They pick and choose the loads they want to haul based on what the load is, what it pays and the origin and destination. They do as many loads as they wish taking off or working when they choose. The complicated loads usually pay very, very well.
