@@fedoresko i kind of understand what you mean, thank you for showing me another perspective. Yes there are many forms of slavery around in many countries and communities that needs to stop, i agree to also look at those however the solution can be also found from other situations than the actual happening. Saving the world can't be done from one day to the other either so it needs to be step by step sometimes. What is slavery to you though? Because if you want to argue and collect some information with me for other people in the comments, i think it could be worth talking about that. So theoretically, if i work for Facebook or Google or whatever, those big kind of companies, i feel like that could also be seen as slavery, but if the salary meets the needs and happiness is being acquired throughout the time, it seems to be a life purpose kind of thing. Somewhere needs to be a line discussed, what is "working for someone as a slave" or "working for someone for personal enrichment"? It comes back to human rights in my view. That must be always top priority to guarantee a healthy and thriving civilization.
@fedoresko Жыл бұрын
@@lindada1111 actually human rights is something that meets human needs - very basic ones: to be safe and alive, to feel free. But if someone feels ok, could you give him right of freedom as you understand it? This comes up to "values" wich give more concrete interpretation of human rights. But values are different in different cultures and traditions. As for me I believe that there are no right or good values. They all are good. Due to globalization once they will finally mix up and come to some common state. This is natural process and it continues. But the very existence of different countries is potential threat on this path. The governments are not wise and would fight for power till the end, as I can see.

I am an austrian citizen and I am very glad about our social system. We have nearly no homeless people and everbody gets health-care.Most schools are for free and universities are not expensive. Of course we also have injustice and other problems. But the main things work out quite well. The 1st one may be the result of a propaganda that NATO will use Ukraine as a step stone to attack Russia. The same thing happened when CCP moblized its army to fight in Korean war. Wow, thank you for such a very enlightening video. With these attitudes towards the invasion of Ukraine, there seems to be no hope for any negotiated settlement. A lasting peace can only be achieved after the total defeat and collapse of Russia, in the same way that Nazi Germany’s total defeat allowed for the rebirth of a better nation. Looks like Russia also has a serious drinking problem, with so many people drunk during the day.

You are naive. No one would ask opinions of these people and they will accept any decision their government is giving. Declaring a war with NATO and invading Poland? Giving up Crimea? They will say yes for both. Politically active population (as much as you can call it in Russia) is only living in big cities and most people living in cities in general, rural areas are getting more and more empty. So basing your opinions on the most adamant supporters of the current regime, the social miniroty that doesn't have any political influence and the one that getting killed the most in this war is just silly. Their current takes and opinions are just the reflection of the current state propaganda. The moment propaganda changes their opinion change as well.

I don't think so. First of all, a total defeat of Russia is not possible and all Attempts to try so might end up in a worse Regime like it did in Libya or Iran. Secondly, I strongly believe that Areas where a big majority wants to belong to Russia should not be Conquered by the West, even if Russia did worse Crimes. Dictatorship can't be fought with undemocratic Actions. And Conquerin Land against the Population's Will is not democratic, will lead to more hate against the West, more Hunger, more Dead and more radicalisation on all sides. And Reconquering Areas like Crimea would make Ukraine less democratic, because if Crimeans would be able to vote freely, just imagine pro- russian Candidates just win the Election afterr all of the Slaughter. Internationaly observed Referendums over the Future of these Areas must be Part of Negotiations.

We can all relate to the humanity here, of families torn apart and the fear of being socially ostracized. Still, it's hard to see how committed most are in believing the false and immoral premise of this 'special operation,' even believing their fellow Slavs are Nazis and vermin.

The problem with the West is that you see everything as an overly simplistic moral question of good vs evil. You label everything as "autocratic regime", "imperialistic regime", etc. We see it from a different angle as protecting our national interests. Our interests - preventing Ukraine from joining NATO, protecting separatists, protecting ethnic minority from forced ukrainization. Do you really think you can have a NATO policy of "open doors", expand indefinitely into Soviet bloc and not have a hostile backlash from Russia?

In my own experience - 50 years ago - being in the military does leave a significant impression on someones life for a period of years afterward. For those who experienced bloody combat even more so. Bottom line, many rural Russian communities will have their hands full with regards to returning veterans.
@YeahButCanISniffUrPantsFist Жыл бұрын
How would u compare yourself to that older veteran man in the video?? I feel like war back then (hell, even when compare to the 2014 ATO missions), was much, much different. Like, the ATO veterans i spoke to even said that it was child play to the absolute chaos n brutality of the current one. This may be bc the ATO wasnt formally a war, and maybe the scale and operations were consciously held at a smaller standard than this recognized, full-out war.. If youve taken place in an official war, how would you compare your experiences to the impression you have of the experiences one would live through in this one??

no need to feel bad for them, we should not forgive all their sins just because they were brainwashed. German people in WW2 were really brainwashed, because the only sources of information like newspapers and radio were totally controlled by the nazi regime. But now there are far more ways to receive information from the internet, so you can't say that those people are not guilty at all. They are still guilty. They are brainwashed not because they can not hear the truth, but only because they do not WANT to see the truth.

I have traveled extensively and lived under some repressive regimes. And after you leave it's weird to experience freedom, to be able to go where you want and say what you want. That's from living there a few months. I can't imagine what it's like to live in a place like that my whole life. The East Germans somehow transitioned to freedom so there is hope. But not much hope, I fear. It just makes me sad to see.
@anitagorse9204 Жыл бұрын
East Germans were Germans for thousands of years before being separeted to East and West. With same ethics, society, language, working habits...and concept of freedom. After joining they dug everything up, not learned anew. And still there are differences between East and West to this day. Russians never experienced anything but terror and dictatorship. I don't have any hope.
@YeahButCanISniffUrPantsFist Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it will be pure chaos in Russia, after the Regime falls... the thing is, it wont be disillusioned, humbled or ruined ENOUGH to allow foreign powers to shape its future, but at the same time, it has too many passive, short sighted and malicious subgroups within itself to rebuild in a sensible manner. So.. pessimistic as it may sound, the vast majority of russians wont have/get to feel that overwhelming freedom anytime soon anyway
