This is exactly what I expected to hear. If Lukashenko were to try anything like joining Ruzzia he'd be hanging from the nearest lamp post within a matter of hours. The latest survey in Denmark reveal that an overwhelming majority still support sending more weapons to help Ukraine. 80% were in favor of sending more arms to Ukraine, while 10% said they were ambivalent. Only 7% were against sending more weapons to Ukraine, while 3% said they weren’t sure. Even among the voters from the two most far left-wing parties in the parliament, 66% and 68% are in favor of donating more weaponry, while only 19% and 12% are against. The most ultra left-wing of the two parties, that used to be against NATO and NATO membership have also changed their stand, now being all for NATO and a NATO membership, at least for the time being, due to Putin's invasion of Ukraine, for which they find no valid excuse. In related news, the Danish Prime Minister said at the Munich Security Conference that : “If Ukraine loses, we risk all of Europe and the West losing. I have no doubts about that. I don’t think that Putin will stop with Ukraine. He’ll march on to the next country,” She also went on to underline that Denmark has yet to consider whether to donate fighter jets to the Ukrainians. But the Danish foreign minister said he expected Ukraine’s western allies to green-light sending fighter jets to Ukraine in the near future. “If you ask me as foreign minister whether the free world will donate planes to Ukraine, then I’ll say that I expect it to happen in the foreseeable future,” He said.

As a Russian, I can say that this is impossible. The EU will never accept Russia into the European Union, since the very essence of the West is to be against Russia and its people. Tons of propaganda are not done just like that. Not to mention the fact that the European Union is a collection of American vassals who defend the economic interests of the world order led by the United States, so whatever regime we have in the government, even a democratic one. But we definitely have no way with such institutions. Europe should first of all become an independent center in politics and defend its interests

Belarusians have no agency in politics. Their fate depends entirely on Russia. The country is too dependent on Russia economically and too small to resist Russia. Even the Opposition does not want Belarus to join Europe but promotes neutrality. Like Ukraine, Belarus had a window of opportunity to join the West just after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Neither Belarus nor Ukraine used that time to their advantage and the consequence is the war in Ukraine and the creeping incorporation of Belarus into Russia.
