What I think a lot of people don't realize, or at least take into consideration, spacex is private. Meaning not the government. They don't need votes to fund projects, they don't NEED massive public support. A couple of nice tidbits in this interview! Starship came down 6km away from the planned location (not bad considering what happened to those flaps!), and TWICE he mentioned the 'precision' of the booster's landing - despite an engine out! - which is no doubt why he's game to try for a tower catch next test. Each launch is the most amazing thing for my Wife and me. Both born in the very early 50's we've watched tons of launches.
