His wife was no fool. Yes he was a bit of a dinosaur but a lot of it was tongue in cheek. John Francome said he was the hardest working man in racing he knew. He said himself when he lost his case with Channel4 all they had to have done was ask him to tone it down. He certainly knew his racing & generate publicity. An often misunderstood good guy. RIP.

@Oneman Oneman Cheers One man I don't know if you saw the Opening show at the weekend but I couldn't help thinking; it would have been a great defence at his C4 dismissal case. But his funeral had taken place at that stage so seemed inappropriate. He was always around the ring at the courses and how many times did they have him on the Opening show!
