one tip I've seen from others if you are taller is to not lump up the bottom of the seat that way you can sit lower and get better center of gravity. after all the bottom of the kayak is already a cushion. I went out today with the bottom part of the seat deflated and it worked perfectly.

I definitely loved your video! You and your husband should continue making videos. I recently bought the same kayak and learned a lot from watching, so thank you. Also I will be sending this video out to some of my friends.

To make the seat valves one way valves, cut the medium size adapter on the pump. Those valves have safety flaps in them which prevent the air from coming out, but the long and pointy adapter on the pump push that flap in so when you remove the pump from the valve, the air rush out before the safety flap can go back. So by cutting the adapter, you prevent it from pushing the flap in, hence the valve becomes a one way valve.

Where do you cut it please?

Must try that... so annoying when I lose a lot of air before I can cap it off. I end up with a half inflated seat always

Nice! I have the K2 tandem. A little heavier but only takes 2-3 minutes longer than the one seat. Love this kayak! Only challenge for me is deflating the floor; just takes a little longer. I'm not inclined to go back to hard shell.
@TheSandkastenverbot2 жыл бұрын
Yes, deflating takes a while. On my first ride I was too impatient, tried to stuff the kayak into its bag anyway and ripped up the bag. But that's ok, I wanted to buy a "kayak rucksack" anyway 🙂

Is it possible to carry the two person variant with one person? Or should one person rather go with the single variant?
@swilson1958 Жыл бұрын
@@rickw7523 I'm usually the only one. The k2 works great for a solo kayaker.

Hello!, hola! If you jump into the water, how easy is it to climb into the kayak afterwards? or it is not possible because it overturns? Si te tiras al agua, cuan facil es subir despues al kayak? o no se puede pues se vuelca?

Purchased a K2. 71 years old. Do you have suggestion for what type of trolley cart I can purchase? Where is live, I am unable to inflate by the water and my husband has yet to join me so I don't want to drag it from parking lot to esters edge. I appreciate anyone's suggestions. So far, I am enjoying this kayak. A bit if trouble with my seat

I'm only one year behind you. Purchased 6 weeks ago, great fun. I am also looking out for some sort of trolley. My biggest problem though is getting out the kayak ................. the joys of getting older ah

“Even a woman can….” I felt nauseated every time you said this. Implied in that comment is that women are weak and stupid, and even weak and stupid women can put together the Intex Challenger. Please consider your words. The self-directed misogyny hurts all women.
