Silos are nightmares for demo companies. "Bad luck" absolutely happens... they're big, top heavy, and just shells of brick or concrete. You pop that wedge out and think it'll fall one way, but what happens is the brick on the other side collapses early and the silo drops straight down because the forces are greater as it hasn't started to tip yet. It slides a little sideways on the angled cut and stops.... but now the only material underneath it is on the wrong side, so it starts to tip the wrong way and now you're screwed. It happens so often there are compilations of silo demo fails on YT... just silos, all slipping a middle finger to embarrassed demolition crews.

I grew up in Texas, and have travelled too most countries on this planet. The only people who are as tough, if not tougher, than the Russians were the Australians. The main difference though is that Australians don't have absolute disdain for Americans. (Although they weren't afraid too correct me when I made stupid comments like "America is the freeist nation on the planet" lol. They'll laugh in your face for saying dumb crap like that 😂)
