I live only 45 minutes away from Nashville and I went a few weeks before the pandemic started and they were walking baby flamingos and my grandma was wering a flamingo shirt so they started following her it was a awesome time love this zoo!

I don’t care if the Memphis Zoo has more animals (including pandas), this honestly looks like the best zoo in the state of Tennessee. It is currently #5 on my bucketlist of zoos and aquariums to visit

Yes Nashville the most underrated zoo in the us fun fact they got rid of their elephants because they thought it wasn’t good enough it and it was 3 acres those are where the rhinos where

I live near Nashville, and I remember my local news channel talking about how there was a mama giraffe about to have a baby. I mean they reminded us every night, I had no desire to go to the zoo, but I always watched the giraffe cam that they showed on the tv. Then one day they stopped talking about it. I told my mom and she told me they had released an article saying the mama had stepped on the baby hours after being born and killed it. Even my friends new about the new giraffe baby and we’re devastated by the news :(
