just a quick tip for everyone, You don't have to use a chord progression. if you have the main instruments to your song on a separate track on the mixer , like as an audio waveform or mp3, then in your vocal chain just side chain your main vocal track and then side chain the main instruments to the vocodex. Usually vocals try to harmonize with the main vocals, so if that is your goal, this should be helpful for you.

Thank you so much for another one of your excellent tutorials. You just saved my day. After giving up music for almost 20 years due to loss of hearing, I lost my voice. I recently started writing and recording again, but I had no way to convey my lyrics and vocal melody. I had tried connecting the Vocoder using another tutorial but it didn't work - and then I stumbled across yours. It worked straightaway. You have just opened a huge world of possibilities for me. Yet again, by far the best channel for explaining this stuff. If you actually want to learn how to do it (instead of listening to some guy rambling for 20 minutes and end up more confused than when you started) this is the best channel I've come across. Always clear, concise, with no extraneous details, but everything you *do* need to know. It sounds simple, but most other channels can't manage it. Also, now I can recreate "O Superman" by Laurie Anderson!!! Here come the pla-eens!!
