Chris, take a scissor jack or house jack that’s small enough to fit inside the battery compartment and put some wood in front of it and in back of it and expand it and that should hopefully push back the metal for you into its original size. Ask for taking out your battery get a 2 by 4 or long piece of metal pipe and put it underneath the battery strap and use the cross bar pipe on the tractor to lift the battery out. It’s more or less a longer pry bar. I have had no major issues with my Kioti just a bad relay. I also bye pass the seat safety switch and also increased the hydraulics to get more lift out of the tractor. Regards

Chris - I first worked on farm machinery working in my Dad's shop when I was 9 years old. 75 years later I am still working around the stuff. Part of the longevity might be due to never trusting hydraulics. You need a safety leg under that raised loader. Please - never trust any single lifting device. Stay safe - Dud

I was about to mention the same, I've seen Murphy's law too many times when it comes to hydraulics. A person's reaction time doesn't equal how fast a blown line can lose 5 gallons of fluid

Not too bad for 500hrs working around timber. I found predelivery is the biggest issue with the cheaper equipment. Yup, I'd think that with just shy of 60K subscribers you won't have any problem developing a partnership with any of the tractor manufacturers. I've got the Kioti RX 7320 with a cab and like it a lot. Maybe you'd want to consider something that size? Not quite sure what you meant when you said that you wouldn't mind getting something "a little" bigger.

@JeffGeorgalas

@@InTheWoodyard ya, 60HP would probably work well for you, because then you can still get it with a hydrostatic Trans. If you went up to say my size, you have to get a gear driven Trans, which is fine for me, but most people prefer hydro, as they're easier to drive. Ya, if I were you, I'd start reaching out to different manufacturers, and see if any of them would be interested in developing a partnership with you. I would think that most brands would LOVE having a partnership with you, as you make so many videos, that their product would get a huge amount of exposure. Good luck!

Hey Avant, are you listening? Tractor is great as an all-around workhorse and losing the 3point hitch might be a pain for moving the trailers around the woodyard but you would gain on the material handling visibility aspect on the loader and turn ability.🤔and the cab may prove problematic setting up and moving cameras around.😜

After all the problems that tractor is throwing at you, I certainly would try to turn it in on another tractor brand. My father is a diehard John Deere tractor owner which is used on his timber farm. He also has a small John Deere bulldozer a JD 450C which has given excellent service for over 20 years. Changed the batteries once and several blade hoses only because some dirt and debris fell over the top of the blade and smashed a hose. Please look at John Deere before you buy. Best of luck in getting that new work toy.

You are taking a huge risk when you are moving logs with that loader. Yes, you are somewhat protected with the thumb on that grapple bucket but as the dent in your hood shows, it is possible to cause a log to roll down the arms of that loader and clean the driver right off the seat. You need complete front and rear ROPS protection on any tractor loader when moving logs. That's the advantage of cabs on loader tractors.

On the flip side, for tractor company who pleads durability, etc. Chris would do a phenomenal job at showcasing all of that. Facts speak from Chris, he is not a fan of show pony’s, he wants what works, does what it says it going to do, and does not hold back. Some may say he is a salesman, I have been a subscriber to Chris’s channel for over 3 years and I can attest, he works hard and is not at all easy on equipment and does not hide anything. Straight facts. Personally, I want that; honesty and straight facts. Real world non sugar coated truth and Chris shows that as does Bert. So many other channels get tractors, I could list one who got just. I had to take a dump out of my thoughts of the posts and defend Chris or at best state the facts. With over 1400 videos and still going, the man knows his stuff and deserves credit where credit is due. KZbin has become a great real world review place but a few creators tell the facts, like In The Wood Yard does. Rant over. I need more coffee and then get some more work done. Great video Chris, keeping it real and honest. Good Night Irene. ☺️

They should make engineers work as mechanics for a year before they are allowed to design anything. It is crazy where they put batteries any more. I have a John Deere Gator. It needed a new starter. It was only 2 bolts and a wire. We put it on a lift and undid it, it would not come out the hole. The unit needed 4 1/2 hrs. of work to get the battery out. STUPID. Same with your battery. You should just have to remove 2 screws and lift it out. It has worked that way for 100 yrs. but these over educated morons can't understand that.
