There is usually about one of those a year within a 20 mile radius of where we live. And, I do have skin cancer worries. OK, you have convinced me. Now, I am going to show this video to my wife. I'm not one to spend extra money on things for my comfort but my wife convinced me to spend the money for the cab. The biggest surprise was not the A C and heat ( not that it wasn't nice in the summer and winter) but when I finished mowing for for four hours I climbed off the tractor and I could have gone out to eat at a restaurant WITHOUT TAKING A SHOWER, that wasn't going to happen on my old open cab tractor. I don't have to stop work just because it is raining I'm able to continue to working. I don't have to take breaks like I used to, I've stayed on the tractor all day working without taking a break, I get much more work done because of the cab, because of that I feel safe in saying that I've already made the money back that the cab cost me.

Great video! I could not agree more, especially where the stupid allergies are concerned. I have a CK2610 with cab, and will add that where the view is concerned, the mirrors add so much behind that it is worth the small loss where the A-pillar blocks off. Also, regarding the glass keeping people on the ground from talking to me, I have taught the kids to stay back at least 20 feet till I stop and open the door and look right at them. I see it like an added safety feature, especially when using pallet forks and lifting or anything that might tip me. Enjoy the comfort of your tractor cab! I just got my CK2620SE cab in 2023, replacing an open station 3510SE. I agree with all of the points you made to buy the cab over the open station tractor. But I’ll add one more justification I made here in the windy, foggy coastal California climate I live in, I have an angry neighbor who is suing me over a dispute on an access easement on my property. If I don’t want to talk to her, I can keep the door closed and keep going! (The lawsuit is finally getting close to a settlement where I won anyway) Worth every penny not having to take that grief!

True story a couple years ago my dad was pulling his swather down a gravel road. The swather clipped a road sign and flung him off the tractor and pinned his leg under the back tire. No one knows how long he was stuck. His phone was in the cup holder so he couldn't call anyone. Eventually a lady driving down the road found him. He had a broken leg and is lucky to be alive. Thats why a cab tractor is important to me.

It depends on applacations. I have the rx7320 cab kioti . Plowing snow in winter. Moving tree debris in summer. And making mulch . Large field mowing jobs. Helping local orchards with there needs if they are down a tractor. It all has benifits in my mind to own a cab tractor. It gets you out of eliments . Which for some can cause some harm . Pollin in spring time sure sucks to breath in when mowing pastures 8 hours a day . The one downside is the repair of ac or heater system. Which costs thousands. And if you blow out a window . Those get pricey to repair.
@muchgooderish2 ай бұрын
I had my AC break while under warranty, thankfully. It was just a vent that wouldnt open. I bet it would be expensive out of pocket. And I hope I never have to replace any glass.
@CCharlesHahn8 ай бұрын
One thing I would comment with regard to the skin cancer issue, look into getting high quality tint for the cab windows. Good ceramic tint blocks UV rays and heat, not only making the cab AC even more effective, but also keeping you safer without as much need for sunscreen. Tint can be had with 70-80% VLT as well if you don't want the darkening effect. It's not much different than tinting car windows/windshields.

I'll add one more log onto your pro-cab fire: most cab tractors have switches or levers to raise and lower the 3 point hitch right there handy at the rear, since climbing back into the cab to do so would just be dumb. I hear they're very useful when attaching implements... 😊

I agree with you. CAB is worth every penny. I have a 2020 ck2610 with cab and all you said is true. I had a problem with the windows fogging when blowing snow, the solution is cracked the back window open with the latch closed so it dosent shut back up, problem solved.

And here's the best part. I own the 25 hp equivalent in a John Deere (without a cab). And I can sell that for as much as I paid for it and get one of those Kioti tractors WITH a cab, PLUS much more front bucket and PTO lift capacity...for pretty much the same damned price! Granted, I won't have the 4 in 1 bucket that I have on my JD. But I've got an excavator, so I guess I'll just use that!

All tractors have their plus positives and negatives, but bang for buck, I felt the Kioti was a great deal and has done everything I have asked of it.
@carolewarner1013 ай бұрын
@@muchgooderish We've been actively looking at trading the JD for a Kiot with a cab. We're getting up in years and have found the tractor to be indispensable on our land. We'll be moving out there soon, which means using it in four seasons vrs just good weather. We'll be having to plow snow in the winter and work in the rain with it a lot more, and we aren't getting any younger. Just last summer I was cutting up a downed tree that happened to have an in ground yellow jacket nest down at the other end. The vibrations passing through the log agitating the hive, and I got nailed with seven stings in a matter of seconds! I was in pain for three days and itched terribly for two weeks...miserable! THIS summer we had to clear trees for our new shop and one had a large paper wasp nest in it, but this time I had a small excavator with a CAB. Oh the satisfaction of knocking it down out of the tree, smashing the nest to a pancake under the bucket and driving away without a sting despite hundreds of torpedo-like, dive bomb hits to the glass of the cab with them trying to get at me! 😇 When we found out how much more reasonably priced Kioti tractors are compared to JD & Kubotas, with a very similar level of quality AND so many additional features and better lifting specs, we were sold! There's a very real chance we'll be able to practically trade one tractor for the other (financially), perhaps spending a few thousand more for SO much more tractor with that cab. Anyway, appreciate your video.
