Chris you are going to break your back window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have followed your lead on the no stacking I used to stack 70 full cords and now I pile like you do. Saved lots of hours this year for other things like cutting and splitting. Happy Thanksgiving.

Hey Chris, I always watch like and share, but rarely comment. The story you told about building relationships with customers really resonated with me. I have that kind of relationship with the people that I work for. Most of them for forty plus years. It was nice to hear a story about customer trust and appreciation. Thanks

Thanks Chris, I’ve learned a whole lot watching you👍 I’m on year 4. This year all repeat customers, so far. I’m sure I’ll get some new ones too as the weather finally cooled down. I learned to pile the wood as I split from you. All my customers PAY me to stack at their houses😅 it’s their money so whatever they wanna pay for 👍 Thank you for NOT breaking the truck glass- as usual. Thanks for all you share.

When people question your throw in the trailer measurement. It reminds me of a deli… go in and order up so much cheese, pepperoni or meat loaf These men/women behind the counter know from repeated orders how much and will get your order very close or exactly the amount you are asking for. It’s something else. You remind me of this each time people question your measurement. 💐

I've got ome customer in particular that likes to pay with PayPal or Venmo. She knows I'll bring good wood and is fine with payong me BEFORE i deliver the wood. And I deliver/stack when she's not there. It feels good to have that level of trust.
@AllenFamilyFirewood9 сағат бұрын
I’m still a stacker lol but I can load a full cord for delivery in under 10 min with the 1/2 cord pallets we use . Takes time to stack it on the pallets but it sure is fast to load the trailer . I’m thinking our times to handle a cord are very similar but I think your way is just a touch faster .

Excellent business Chris. BUTT, some of us just cut our own, heat the place 99% with wood, and enjoy the process. And, I have to stack. It's efficient for multi years, pretty, and gives me the chance to step out to look and snort the stacks. O.C.D. Love your ( and Tony's ) tutorials. Always learning. JMNSHO

love the channel, awesome content. i've started preparing a little firewood business and i'm considering storing my wood in a outdoor barn type building. it has two open ends with two brick walls and a solid roof. i'm wondering if i can store my wet wood without exposure to the sun. i don't want to copy your set up in the commercial district because we get 3 months of heavy rain where i am (southern france) and i'm concerned it'll never dry properly. do you have any advice on storing your wood in an inside or uncover facility. many thanks

I sell bundles and recently started selling 1/4 cords. I stack into totes, and then stack two rows at the back of my truck😅 for delivery. I don’t have the number of sales as some,…which is probably why I don’t mind the double stacking. I also noticed that it makes it easier to access for unloading. You can blame Joe at Ohio Wood Burner for that, lol. Who knows,…maybe it’ll change as business grows.

I just started feeding the neborhood cats. I used to look at them as obstacles in my yard spent many hours trying to keep them out do to the dogs and gardens etc. it’s much easier to work with the cats, they keep the rodents away and stay away from the dogs for the most part. They are really growing on me. I see why Ancient ppls worshipped them. The watchers.!!

Yet here, in the UK, we buy firewood in 'tonne bags'. This causes confusion too - there isn't a tonne in there, and often the bags aren't even a cubic metre (which WOULD hold a tonne of water, 1000 litres, 1000 kilograms, one metric tonne). They are sometimes 90cmx90cmx90cm - 0.73 of a cubic metre, or even smaller sometimes. The one-cubic-metre of wood, loose stacked, might hold 300kg of wood, but will obviously depend on the density of the wood - seasoned willow or poplar will weigh a lot less than the same volume of oak. I don't buy wood so I don't get confused!

Hey Chris. I have put 2 scoops of dog food in the same dog bowl for 8 years. I don’t need the scoop anymore. I just know it’s 2 scoops cause I know what the bowl looks like with 2 scoops. Same concept with the wood in your trailers and truck. You just know.

I don't know but at the tree company would measure the trailers but the thing is you measure a cord come up with cubic feet. And measure your trailer and that should give you an idea of how much wood it takes to make up a cord are whatever my thinking and for people asking about windows being broken i saw a few but customers picked up there own wood and i say put the right English on it and it bounces and hit the window some people would bring plywood to put up by window some people if hauled wood would have a rack on front of box to avoid that cheaper than a window some of them customers told me could get up to thousand are two to replace depends what it is that is why when selling it would tell them to take a arm load of wood and just drop over side of bed on truck told them to prevent it saved a lot of window being broken thanks for posting waiting for next video as usual 16:35

Answer is: how do you know how much wood you have in the truck or trailer after throwing it in from a non stacked pile. If the new people that are starting to sell wood and do what you say, take a picture of the loaded truck or trailer and use that for reference until they are comfortable with what they throw in. They will know they have the right amount. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
