Haunting... and beautiful. Well done as always Intig for taking us on a journey through sound. I always wondered how Simon would get on after 10 long years. Good on him for making it this far, but it doesn't sound easy for him... Thank you Andreas and Stig for this song

cry of fear was done when Andreas and his small team of people were more or less in their late teens, imagine what they can do now with their experiences combined... To all who is in team psykskallar who read this: you guys have a chance to redefine horror genre in gaming and/or create an unforgettable masterpiece. I wish all you good luck and fortune. Even if you never make another game we still love you guys ♥

"But for me... time stands still." 10 years, now 11. It's crazy how fast time flies, isn't it? This game, man. This game is amazing. It's melancholic and beautiful all at once, looking back and realising after all this time, even if the road ahead seems rough, sometimes you have to just pull through. It will be painful, but look back on your progress - do you really want to give up? Even if it looks bleak and hopeless ahead, you still have to try. You can't stay in one spot, or else you're going to fall into neverending despair and guilt and then after that... yeah. I also wondered how Simon was going after 10 years of mental suffering. It didn't seem easy, but here he is. Cry of Fear will always have a special place in my heart along with many other pieces that helped me get through a dark time in my life. This game was one of the single reasons I saved myself. It helped me cope by reflecting a series of anxieties and regrets onto a screen and made me push through. And I made it through. Andreas, Stig, Team Psykskallar; if you're reading this - thank you for such an amazing and emotionally moving game. This game is amazing and the effort you guys put into it is astounding. Thank you. - RIvai Saihara / Irredeemable Lover. 💙

2012 nostalgia. You wouldn't ever think that underneath the goofy let's play horror scene at the time there would be a game with such emotional depth that despite not receiving the most attention in your library over the years would prove itself to be a timeless gem that you can always come back to. Happy 10 year anniversary, Cry of Fear.

Cry of Fear is literally my childhood, when I didn't have nothing else to play, no console, no nothing, no internet, just my mom's beat up work laptop with 4 GB of Ram and i3 6th gen and like 200 mb of Int Graphics , Cry of Fear was the only game that ran on my mom's laptop which she handed off to me whenever I was bored during her work meetings. It brings me back to simpler, beautiful times I'll always be grateful for, thank you Andreas and Team Psykskallar for the memories, for molding the younger me and helping me find an outlet for my uncontrolled and unmanaged feelings at the time. While fun to shoot enemies on the game, this game accompanied me through tough times and was my companion. Thank you guys for everything, always sending my love your way 🖤

Вроде так много, но кажется что так мало... 10 лет прошло с того момента как вышла одна из тех игр которая надолго засядет в мою 12-летнюю душу. 10 лет назад я, с еще неокрепшим мозгом, интересовался хоррор-играми и наткнулся на это чудо. this is so melancholic to me. to this day cry of fear is still my favorite horror game by far and one of my favorite games of all time. i'll not even try to put the emotions this game is triggering for me into words, because for me and for many of us this game marks an easier and probably better part of our lifes. cry of fear is a big part of my life and who i am today. the love this game gets is by far the most i've ever seen for a mod. the reason for all the emotions this game is stimulating is probably that there is an actual artist behind it. the intention behind this game was not to grab cash with scary ghasts and jumpscares, the whole reason this game exists is that a very special person has poured their soul and life experiences into it and created a magnum opus that's probably more of a window into their soul than we could imagine. it's simply more than a "horror game." it's a horror game used as an art form to express something way bigger and i think THAT is what the people, who love this game so much, feel. i'm so stoked for the future, because i know that there's a lot of stuff in their pipeline.

I found this game at a time in my life when i felt a lot like Simon in many ways with depression and anxiety. I was in my early teens, late middle school to freshman year in high school. At one point, i was hospitalized due to these feelings. But i always came back to get that best ending to feel like whatever came my way I could always in the end find rays of hope to keep me going. Now im a junior in college studying General Psychology with a minor in Homeland Security and im glad to say i have majorly bounced back from these feelings. The way CoF maturely tackles these issues without blaming Simon for his emotional issues is really telling and it helped spark my love and interest in psychology

You can hear how Stig Sydtangen's voice acting has become better than when he did Simon! I'd love to hear some more lines from him in the future!

This game brings me some memories when me and my brother actually had a normal relationship back in 2018 where he playing this game while I was watching him play.. I would always piss my self whenever he played the game back then. Now that he’s 17 and our relationship is fucked up and death. I’m here to thank to Andreas and Team Psykskallar for the amazing game, music, work and story and this brings me so much memories and not going to lie but this game is the best horror game I have ever played in my whole life (Im so sorry if this doesn’t make sense since English isn’t my first language)

My partner is currently playing through the game for the very first time. They've never gotten so quickly invested into a game before and it's quickly sky rocketed into their favorite games of all time. They even got Simon's hoodie IRL. And got it for me too! She wears it all the time when she plays it or even just out and about. They are in love with the game and Simon's journey. You guy's seriously made a masterpiece. You should be proud. I've been a fan since it was just a mod and it seems you got another with my partner.

Only 4 verses yet these verses are genius. The strength of the song stands in its minimalist lyrics. A few verses were exactly what was needed to show the depth of a 10 years old memory and make it feel fresh and organic like it happened yesterday. Too many lyrics would've failed to paint the true mysterious and bleak atmosphere of the game. Glad to see this team didn't lose its poetic ability. And I hope Andreas or anyone in the team doesn't struggle with mental health problems anymore, despite the dark topics of your music and CoF.

Happy anniversary, Cry of Fear! You've helped me through some dark times by putting the team's darkest moment into game form. Currently wearing my Simon hoodie on a beautifully cloudy day. It gives me a sense of comfort in a way. Knowing that while Simon's case is extreme, it shows how depression is draining and a very real horror. Jamming out to your songs, cof soundtrack and Trip unknown, for the rest of my life. I hope everyone dealing with some sort of sadness, diagnosed or not, will push through in the end. Much love from Arizona ❤

This game changed my perspective on my mental health and my problems. I learned to fight and change my state of mind and change for the better instead of accepting that I'd be sad forever. Thank you for changing my life.

"It's been 10 years since you got to experience my pain, And to this day, the pain is still There." Simon has been inexperienced but changed after this. He really is something.

I remember when I first saw snippets of this game watching markipkier. I was way to scared to watch it. Years later, 2020 I wanna say I saw it free on steam and oh my lord it became one of my all time favorites.

I came to check the channel out cause of Pyrocynical's Cry of Fear video he made last year, and honestly? Its amazing the game came out 10 years ago and is still talked about to this day. Its also interesting that when Cry of Fear was released, I was 11 at the time, and wasn't into watching horror let's plays until now, I genuinely wanna see all the 2012 lets plays of COF. Of course, Pyro did say he would love to see a Source engine remake of Cry Of Fear, I hope you guys do that. I'm amazed a small indie dev team managed to make an amazing game, that's still talked about 10 years later, good job Team psykskallar

I’ve always loved this game. It helped me through bad times and made me realize I wasn’t alone. It was a perfect amalgamation of things I liked in survival horror games. Sure it was a bit janky at times, being a gold source game. But that didn’t ruin the experience for me. It felt like the game was made with actual passion. Thank you, Team Psykskallar for everything.

I played Cry of Fear last month for the first time and the game immediately became one of my favorites of all time. Love the story, gameplay, atmosphere and the soundtrack. It also made me discover Intig and your solo music. In the CoF intro I immediately sensed that DSBM vibe since I listened to that kind of music for many years before and this game perfectly embodies that spirit. I also finished Afraid of Monsters Director's Cut recently, maybe you should make another song and music video dedicated to that game too, I would love to see it. Thank you, Team Psykskallar, for making such beautiful dark art.
