Fun fact: INTJs are not immune, they are just resistant to emotions by trying to disprove them with logic however when logic cant be used for a given situation they may come to acceptance of these things that make them feel and they will nearly (or straight up will) die for these things if need be because it becomes a strong personal value to them - ENFP. @@sky58900 You know, our stereotype is that we don’t feel. We actually do feel but keep those thoughts to ourself. For me, feelings are private and something for only myself to view. I don’t believe in emotions getting in the way to reach my goals, making me seem heartless and cold. Especially when I’m extremely blunt and honest, making me seem insensitive. People don’t like me, they don’t understand me, and that’s okay. As long as they don’t pry, I won’t bother them. Well these are my thoughts as an INTJ. To be honest, so many of these claim to be INTJs here are probably not INTJs. In my experience with INTJs, we understand our own emotions and know that they feel different than the typical person. Even though we are sarcastic and don’t really care about others, we understand that we live in a sensitive society that requires sugarcoating. Yes, I hate sugarcoating things but I will do anything to achieve my dreams and ideals. In a nutshell, we feel but push those aside to reach our dreams and goals. We value our passions and work more than anything as results give us satisfaction. Even though we are viewed as ‘cold hearted’, we still feel and sometimes wish for love, whether platonic or romantic. We don’t ask for much, just success in life and happiness within ourselves.

For those INTJ’s who don’t know how to console someone, here are three tips: -People only want to be heard. Vocalizing frustrations is very common and unfortunately you have to deal with it, so be patient or respectfully remove yourself from the situation if possible. -At least LOOK like you are listening. Even if you could not care less, eye contact and short verbal feedback such as, “I understand” or “That IS frustrating” or something along those lines really goes a long way, even if you don’t mean it. -Just like you would read all of the instructions on a test before taking it, listen to what the person has to say entirely before trying to fix their problem. I have found that resisting the urge to fix someone’s emotional issue often results in them talking it out. It can be frustrating, but if you value the relationship you have with the person who is venting to you, put the mental effort in to understand the other person before trying to fix them. From one INTJ to anyone else who reads this, good luck🖖

Okay, I don't want to be very stereotypical of myself as an intj. However that meme about planning your life instead of sleeping is very accurate. I dont know how much sleep I have been sacrificing just to plan my future. Also that meme where you get that feeling when someone texts you good morning is really how I react. I feel so happy but then I don't say good morning back, instead I ruin the mood by asking them what they want and then they ended up thinking that I am angry. 💀
@syzygymasen24184 жыл бұрын
Also, I think the reason why people from the mbti community literally think that we don't feel anything is because we really are such an emotional mess. Our feelings overwhelm us to the point that we avoid acknowledging the fact that we've been having a lot of emotions and we try to find a logical reason why we are feeling it and we try to fix ourselves just like how we solve mathematical problems. It's just so overwhelming that we act like it isn't there haha.

I am an INTJ but I'm also diagnoises with ADHD and waiting for the result of my autism diagnoises so let see how accurate this is for me 0:00. I do agree with this one. Whilst I know emotions are a humane thing I do tend to get dismiss emotions but I am trying to take in consideration of them more as I usually wish to not harm other people. 0:08 I experience the first point frequently. As my ADHD make focusing hard on task I know logically I need to do but do not care for. A plus side is I'm good at short bursts of productivity that gets most of the job done quickly and efficiently which means I can do more tasks. 0:23 As someone who is a night owl. I actually usually do work at night but this is also a large chunk of the night as I am efficient with my work. 0:44. This is why I don't interact with people to much. They ask why I dont hang out, help or talk the they tend to do that. 0:51 Since I'm not the best with people and better at solving problems it's best if I tackle the problem and people more skilled at emotions help the person upset. Also if they are experiencing emotional distress over a problem fixing it generally improves thier mood. 1:36 I generally have a good grasp on my emotions since my ADHD effects every aspect of my life especially with struggling to pay attention without emotional enjoyment, I do understand my emotions. Unfortunately I have trouble with other people's emotions as while I tend to take emotions into consideration but make the most logical discussion that I can achieve efficiently. Most people I encounter do not. 1:42 this is what I tend to do with projects that do not interest me but I need to do so I can stay focused. 2:27 false. I talk to myself becuase I have trouble focusing on one singular thought in my head so saying it out loud halos me focus on it. 3:22 Accurate 3:28 False. That wastes time I will raise if necessary or needed if not I'm being productive. 4:33 Try getting into musical thearter all of it is about expressing emotions. Most of them were able to help me figure out what I was felling and then how to deal with it. 5:15 I have insomnia. So I'll talk. 7:45 How dare you expose me. But in all honesty this is accurate we have trouble dealing with people so often we will ignore our feeling for a crush till it goes away. 8:37 May I present the Intj gifted kid burnout . 11:57 As an abuse survivor that made me realise how important emotions are. I relate to these meme quite a lot. I try my best not be insensitive and I never am that purposefully. But when people say that now you were rude or insensitive and I try to ask "why? can you explain better why they feel that way so I can learn and understand", but they never tell me. They just say that you just were rude and they feel bad now and demand me to apologize, but I will not apologize unless I know what I am apologizing for. People could say that everything I do is rude and gaslight me and use me as a reason, a mirror and punching bag for releasing their negative emotions and feelings. Sometimes people need to check their emotions and the possibility they are overreacting and acting just based upon the initial strong emotion. Emotions and feeling are not everything in this world. Sometimes people hurt feelings, but they also hurt facts and logic that actually make sense by being emotional about everything and not willing to explain their reasons.

No it isn't the most intj thing that ever happened to you. I don't get it, why does everyone think INTJs don't have emotions? Our Fi is really strong, in fact we are the most feeling thinking type.

For all y’all who are “trying to understand INTJs”, we are the coding equivalent of “if then”statements with anxiety. Example: I have work at 0900, I bike. I think “how long it take me to bike?” Research fastest routes. If this route, then fastest. It takes 45 min. But if bike then sweaty. So I’m going to add if cooldown, then clean. So I’ll add a cooldown period after. But I also know that humans are weird so if human, then delay, so I’m going to give myself some leeway by leaving extra early. Thus, I leave at 0745, get there at 830 (assuming no human error) and I have time to cool off. The problem is that human section as we cannot rationalize them into a single statement.

Exactly. Intj and also a very reasonable a good explanation of how our brain works in such cases. A lot of times is running that code and multiple others (various possible ways of doing that same thing) in our brain. No wonder why we have that face 😐

Problem with emotions come from overthinking and overanalizing, not being unfeeling. Usually INTJs don't want to hurt or manipulate anyone, but we make other people feel like we do because we're overanalizing and overthinking which leads to doing the same after a failed attempt to socialize and remembering it next time we meet someone new. It's a neverending, vicious cycle. -fellow INTJ

It’s very fitting that Kierkegaard is INFP, Plato is INFJ, Kant is INTP, and Nietzsche is INTJ. Myers Briggs isn’t the most accurate, but it explains a lot about their differences in how they see the world.

I am more INTP, but also the INTJ. Because the percentage of P and J isn't too far. 51% of P, and 49% of J. And the percentage of INT is more than 60% each if compared to ESF. Either INTP or INTJ, usually the character is almost alike.

my dad's an ENTP- and my mum and sister are an ENFJ, i have a nice mix ya know. (my parents aren't actually very sociable in general- but when it comes to work and events- they are up on the stage doing a presentation or performing a story, my sister is just a social queen- who loves to perform)
@lalas92553 жыл бұрын
it's funny how my mum and sister have the same personality- yet the % on each part varies- which shows how different they both are. so i feel like- even-though most of us here are INTJ- not all of us will be 'logical' (as in the stereotype) in the same way. I think people tend to think- oh this is how they work- so they must all end up being geniuses. But, it just depends where you apply this working strategy- like some apply it to dance or art- and others may apply it to science (or maybe both). I'm not an expert or anything, just my opinion. :) correct me if i'm wrong

no one can out stubborn me, which means- no one is as competitive as i am. I once nearly cried, because (at camp) my friends said they were going to cook the sweet peppers- but when you cook them they get all soggy. I understand that sounds petty, but it's all or nothing- if something isn't right- nothing can be right. The food was fine afterwards, and i felt quite bad for making a fuss. I was just so fixated on that one thing that i had forgotten that it wasn't actually important to the meal. this is why i don't do well in groups- they also spent the rest of the meal saying 'oH No YoU CaNt PuT tHe pEppErS In THe PaN NooooOOOOooOoO' it was quite funny ngl

As an INTJ I actually have an enfj friend. While I won’t say that he is irritating. His thought process always leaves me so frustrated. I can easily read what’s going on in his mind, but his feelings are incomprehensible to me. He is so value driven and so moralistic and so selfless. His utter lack of planning, ambition and research irritates me a lot. Yet I always find his heart intriguing. How the hell does his heart work like that? To me feelers are an enigma, yet I understand every bit of them. Perpetual confusion.
