As an INTJ, I relate to everything you are saying. The majority of my time is spent in my room. I’m listening to music, playing video games, surfing online, deep-diving into my favorite topics of astrology and psychology, watching tv or movies, reading. I do most things alone or at home. It’s hard for me to easily do what people traditional call fun: going out, experiencing new places and people, putting myself out there, partying, drinking, opening up and not caring how I come across. I don’t know how to truly relax or relinquish control. I’ve made huge strides though this past year and a half. I’ve been coming out of my shell and accomplishing things, not just wishing i did. This has all been facilitated by a close friend of mine, who I believe to be an EP. Her love and encouragement has helped me try to new things and go beyond my comfort zone.

After coming back home from my mentally exhausting job, I usually sit in a place and just think for an hour in silence. That is fun cause you a) get your thoughts back in order and b) you come up with the greatest concepts because exhaustion unblocks your mental barriers and dogmas. Visiting contemporary art museums also helps as it is a total opposite of a busy day job and you absorb more beautiful concepts. Doing a hard reset on remote raves sometimes helps as well 😅 I don't think this is fun, is it

To learn and grow, to take initiative, it's part of character especially understand the culture you work, and also every individual is assigned to different departments because of their strengths and weaknesses. However some of us like to focus on the tasks and while others chat about mundane things like their days, life stories, and pets etc. There is also changes too and new policies at the store, that are in effect just for the safety of our customers, we inspect every item that is allowed or outlawed, and watch out for expired dates they need to be thrown away immediately, keep an eye for clothes that are in a bad shape if it has holes, bodily fluids or has offensive messages, we recycled it. It's a thrift store but religious, we donate this stuff to poor countries.

As a hard core INTJ I long ago understood that my idea of fun was basically alien to common society. And I couldn’t care less what other people think of that. This is a great video because I think a lot of INTJs go through some distress about how disconnected their sense of fun is from most people, and if you’re an INTJ you need to embrace the fact that what you find fun is just fine! INTJ is a rare personality style so start to expect and accept that you will not connect with the vast majority of humanity on what’s “fun.” But to be sure what you think is fun is 100% legit.

Hi! Is my father INTJ? 1. He is quite smart even though he said he sucked at Maths. I was more praised than he was in Maths yet he got higher grades in exam than i did 2. He can be lazy. He almost never bothers with “cleaning, cooking or anything related to house work 3. He is the Vice president of where he works 4. He is very religious. Too obsessive 5. He is not fascinated of trying new things. I always tell him”Those old things you do now were new as well when you took up them” 6. He hates partying. My mom wanted to go out on NYE and he Said he doesn’t Find a point 7. He has a very strict routine 8. He finds “entertainment useless”. He reads but all his books are facts and all movies he watches have something “real” never SF... 9. He is very obsessive about certain things 10. Even though he rarely displays feelings he can be really empathetic. Like he did donate money for a family with 10 children that needed a home and he always reminds me to be grateful for what i have 11. He is really sarcastic and likes to rhyme up words. 12. He never does something “just for curiosity”. 13. He admitted that as a child he’d rather play football than studying though, yet he changed school because he hated the Maths teacher.

I felt a mixture of awe (that they were able to figure out a formula that I didn’t even know I used until I saw it “copied”/emulated) but I also felt violated, like the person had stolen something precious from me for their own dopamine hit. It wasn’t plagiarism, they didn’t steal my joke verbatim and I don’t own jokes. I felt like the’d nicked the essence of me, something I’d shared with them as a jewel rather than a tool. Very cool video. I have a close IxxJ friend who is very control > chaos and while it is challenging for me to see things his way, I believe we complement each other well. Sometimes I have to drag him out into the real world and sometimes he has to drag me down from outer space. In a group setting: fun (for me) is usually anything that includes exploring a new place or trying something new, on the flip side another big part is just the overall experience you have when you are with your friends (good or bad) for instance some of the best moments I remember throughout the years are times where something unfortunate or unplanned happened and we just had a good laugh. 1 on 1: fun (for me) is connecting with someone intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. I hate small talk but I love exploring how and why people think the way they do, and honestly, I would choose a great 1 on 1 conversation over what the normal person would call "a good time" out at the bars any day of the week. On my own: I enjoy exploring theories, coming up with ridiculous ideas, learning new things by reading, watching videos, listening to podcasts or even just jamming to music. - ENTP

On a serious note I'm actually amazed that my friends still try to get me to do social endeavors. I can have fun, but it always reaches that point where "hanging out" feels like "waste of time". Usually makes me feel worse once I reach that conclusion. Like I've done something wrong. In the end though they don't seem phased at all and are ready to usher me out again. Its confusing, but I've been making the effort to just go when they offer instead of making excuses.

''Fun'' is such a relative term. For every human being on this planet, ''fun'' may mean thousands of things. For some people, fun is when they hang out with alot of friends and drink or watch a movie together, for other people fun is playing... funny games and laughing. For me personally, ''fun'' is when I'm home alone, watching a movie or a documentary, going out all by myself and having some long walks, reading or studying something fascinating for medical school - something that would help me understand stuff for my future career. At other times, fun would mean me talking to a friend or two about something interesting or, why not, funny (smarts jokes are the best jokes). It's just the way it is. People create their ''own fun''. Great video! :)

Enjoyed the vid...on point. My idea of externally fun activities focuses on controlled risk activities: motorcycling/track days, scuba, skydiving, trap/skeet shooting. These activities enable me to exercise and apply my knowledge/skill and experience towards 'risky' activities whilst applying my exceptional desire to envisage and control a positive outcome. This also allows me to, generally, associate with like minded, enthusiastic and well versed individuals sharing the same activity. This is very important to me. What I do when alone at home essentially coincides with what was stated in the vid...difficult to remove a Leopard's spots.

In contrary, I think we can be very witty because we're able to connect dots really quickly and think about a good quote or joke that fits the situation well. BUT we have to practice being aware of the present. It took me so long to get out of my head and actually pay attention to what the other person is saying even if it bores me. I tend to just think about something else while pretending to listen to people that don't stimulate me intellectually. That's obv not the way to go :D still work in progress

Something interesting I've noticed. I will try to do everything as efficiently as possible, except when I'm playing Pokemon. I don't know why, but I've set up rules or rituals for myself which kinda make things less efficient but I find them more enjoyable. Like for example, when breeding certain Pokemon, I'll try to hatch them in locations I think are fitting. So I went and hatched all my Skrelp in the Insular Sea because it's a fitting location for such a Pokemon, but it's also way less efficient to do that because you have to go all the way to the Isle of Armour, put the eggs in the PC box so they don't hatch before you get there, go all the across the sea being chased by Sharpedo (which if they get in battles with you takes time to get out of, or takes time trying to get them to crash into things) to get to a tiny island, then go back into your PC box so you can hatch the eggs. However, I find it fun so I do it. I also have rules like only using Pokemon in battles bred off of Pokemon I've used in playthroughs. I level my Pokemon up through battles rather than giving them Exp. Candy or Rare Candies because it feels more fun and more earned. This makes things less efficient and there's no logical reason for me to do this, but I find it fun and it gives the Pokemon I do use a special connection to me. However, when it comes to EV training, I just give my Pokemon vitamins since EV training is tedious. And even though I'm using a less efficient method to level them, I'll try to still do that method quickly so it's like Ni and Te compromising with Fi. Fighting the same wild Pokemon over and over again is annoying. I tend to go out my way to breed Pokemon into Pokeballs that are thematically and aesthetically co-ordinated to the Pokemon I'm breeding (Dive Balls for Water types, Dusk Balls for Dark/Ghost types, Dream Balls for Psychic types, and Safari/Friend Balls for Grass types, depending on aesthetics). Heck, I spent money on Pokemon Dream Radar just to get Dream Ball Ralts for this purpose. I just realised how my interest in Pokemon shows all four of my functions. Ni+Te - Strategy in battles, also knowledge. I have a tendency to think one or two steps ahead of my opponents, and being able to predict them based both on knowledge but also putting myself in their heads and trying to figure out what they might do in the situation I've presented, then countering them pre-emptively. I have a really good memory of a Pokemon's details but only when relevant and I can sometimes temporarily forget things, but if prompted inspiration will flash with the correct information. Openness to using new Pokemon in playthroughs (I know I said I only use Pokemon I've used in playthroughs before, but that's for online battles since otherwise I don't feel an emotional attachment to them. I tend to prioritise using Pokemon I haven't used before when playing a new game, and usually those are ones that are brand new. I don't get nostalgia blind and actually find it hard relating to people that do) Fi - The more cuddly side of getting all gooey over my favourites, some of my little rituals and things I can't explain logically. My general childlike excitement. Se - My prioritisation of a Pokemon's design, trying to match aesthetics and nowadays trying to customise things like my trainer's appearance, my Trainer Card (which I really like, gets my personality down pretty well, the cheeky smirk, thinking finger under the chin and crazy intense INTJ stare while surrounded by graffiti of Dark types even though my favourite type is Dragon xD). That's something recently because I've heard people say INTJs are usually neat in their appearances and INTPs aren't because of Se giving INTJs more appreciation of aesthetics. Well, I'm not particularly neat in my appearance but that's because I don't really spend a whole lot of time looking at myself (well, not in the physical sense anyway) and I don't really care what other people think of me. Also my appearance tends not to be relevant, particularly to my Ni vision. So long as I don't look too bad, I'm not really fussed. Plus working on my appearance will take time away from The Thing. But when it comes to things like character creators in video games, holy shit I spend forever trying to make my characters look as attractive as possible. And irl, my fashion sense isn't great (I go for practicality over appearance) but I think that's down to there being a lack of availability in the types of clothing I would want to wear and also it probably not going down too well with my strict household. However, I actually found I have a love of historical clothing since the aesthetics of some of those time periods are actually very pleasing to me. Not all though, some look atrocious. Anyway, point is a lot of video games have clothing that I find very aesthetically pleasing so I will often go out of my way to try and get it (Ni and Te-ing my way there of course, then moving onto the next thing).

It was basically a series of events I usually did in a normal holiday like and I wasn't even bored on my own.
