I like the dry-space setup of Pianoverse. Useful to try different space simulations outside the instrument. But I fell in love with Pianoteq and this new IK Multimedia release is a little expensive if you need more models.

Can you (or have you already) do a Video specifically on techniques for keyboard flourishes.... you seem to do them so effortlessly - is there a technique or is it just straight from your brain to the keys??? maybe a slowed down version of types of flourishes please!!!!

Wow, well this has definitely thrown a huge pebble into the piano pond! I'm already a big fan and user of IK and I have to say this looks and sounds very impressive. I'm not a fan of subscriptions for music production (except for Presonus Studio One which is an absolute no brainer) but this could be a game changer for piano users in production and recording. P.S. I have to compliment on your playing, you have a lovely feel and a really nice musical vocabulary. 😎

Yeah, I agree on the subscription front, it gives me an uneasy feeling in the long term, that is why I am glad they are still offering the perpetual license option. I feel there is still work to do regarding downloading and managing their libraries as in the case of SampleTank can be a huge undertaking. With Pianoverse, I think what makes this really work is IK's approach to recording these pianos totally dry. This gives you the opportunity to leverage the "Spaces" and effects without contending with the recorded studio/room ambience which gets baked into the samples themselves. My goto piano is NI Noire which I really like a lot. I also own Embertones Walker 1955 which I like but neither quite have the tone and character I'm completely satisfied with. I have been quite interested in Production Voices 300 Grand and Synthogy's Ivory 3 but also like how the new IK piano's sound. What are your thoughts on the sound and playability of the pure piano sounds in Pianoverse vs Noire, 300 Grand and Ivory 3?

If you get a chance to compare Keyscape or Key Suite to the new Pianoverse, I'd be interested to hear that. Course Pianoverse being subscription for all models, don't know if I'll get it.

I will see what I can do. You can also purchase individual pianos as well as the sub. The sub is an interesting way to test drive things to decide what you might like, that is the only aspect of subscription services I tend to like, overall I am not a fan of subscriptions.

May I ask you which is the best piano plugin for you?

Florian, I find that there is not a one size fits all piano. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses, some sit right into an arrangement, while others feel out of place whether dynamically or tonally. A lot of times I will land on Keyscape's Studio grand, and this is what the natural Yamaha grand in Pianoverse reminded me of, you load it up and it is very present. Having the ability to further shape the space and tone are big plusses. I have a lot to unwrap still with this but am excited about the possibilities. Thanks for watching.

Larry, oh yes, the Streamdeck XL has been an invaluable tool to make so many aspects of streaming much easier. You can also use it with your DAW and so many yet to be explored possibilities. Thanks so much for watching.
