The one dislike just didn't understand the complexity and coolness of this kind of Parallel compression.. You sparked so many ideas I have to try out

Thanks again Dave, I'm getting my mix pretty good but I get a little lost when I comes time to mix it down and try and some sort of 'try hard' mastering, getting it glued together etc, any tips on or basic examples would be great, hopefully you understand what I'm getting at. Thanks heaps Dave! Kent

I believe the Nectar plug-in has some time based effects on it that are activated, though the main vocal is been sent to a bus called slap.

Limiter , Tape, n a Saturator fr parallel. Nice!!! Why not. I was using torque api2500 n puigtec fr drum break. Vocals usually always parallelelled wit j37 into an abbey plate then a dryer vocal track with ssl g channel usually puigchild is always there too so butter 🧈abbey saturator is one of my favorites fr anything . thx Dave!!

I usually do my parallel comp thru a aux mono input here you used a stereo aux dave nice ! do you always do your parallel thru a stereo aux ?
@TheBroRedSunLed6 жыл бұрын
So you compressed then you had a bit a delay to add depth to the vocals

Is the slapback type delay coming from the latency between the main bus and the parallel bus?

Entirely dependent on what you're trying to achieve. Most of the time it will be in the Mix though.
