Seeing the amount of plugins he uses it becomes pretty obvious that Dave has one of them new 32 Core Workstations from NASA with Three trillion gigs of RAM. Mixing Hit-Records by day, calculating interplanetary trajectories by night...

The Ping Pong really made the pad flow with the track. Great stuff thanks.
@CybreSmee10 жыл бұрын
lol, so ALL you added was two EQs, Reverb, DrMS, a delay into another reverb, a ping-pong delay with EQ and MORE reverb with a chorus, BX Digital, another delay, Waves Center and a harmonizer and reverb on top of that. Glad you held back on compression, wouldn't want to over process it much right?

Question: After adding the DrMS, is the signal still mono compatible? I didn't understand if you were using the bx to correct that later or was just something with the delay track...Your channel is a source of constant inspiration to young musicians and engineers, thank you

Whenever I watch Dave's tutorials, I pay more attention to how he uses his 'ears' / hearing skills above how he uses the software. He's a genius listener.

Question - at 2:52 when you mute the pads, I swear I still hear them. Is that just the verb on the pads I hear (with the send set to "pre")? Or I wonder if your audio routing to the video is different than what you're hearing? Same at 3:05.

That was a pretty boring pad - pads can be so much more exciting than that one. But, that pad did fit the song, and you did a great job jazzing it up. And the ping pong into verb...love that idea to get left/right movement in the pad. Thanks!

Mr Pensado (I know and I wasn't born in the US ;). Thank you for your videos, I won't be able to send you any ideas for a while since my project studio STILL isn't ready, but i will as soon as I'm moved in and Ive started on my new materials. I won't be able to send you my project files since my DAW is Cockos Reaper. I'm doing many of the things you're doing with Isotope's Alloy 2 since I prefer the workflow..

Okay Dave, you win this round. That is a pretty boring pad. If you're curious about the existence of interesting pads, listen to Noah '40' Shebib, Drake's producer. He makes and utilizes some brilliant pads in Pro Tools.

Pads are boring? A good pad can make a song. I'm not into this genre, but in EDM I love pads.
