I use “He is Ancient, He is the Land” as Strahd’s battle theme. My players know the opening to the song by heart and as soon as they hear the first couple of seconds, it’s all “FUUUUUCK” and heads in hands around the table. Absolute masterpiece.

We just did Curse of Strahd over the holiday weekend. Our DM was playing this music throughout the campaign. Coupled with the dim lights, the burning candles, the incense, and the decor, it was quite the immersive experience. Traipsing through Barovia just wouldn't be the same without the atmosphere. I'm going to be using the soundtrack when I DM this campaign for my other regular group.

I've been looking for suitably gothic, adventuring, and heroic music that fits the very best of Curse of Strahd's themes and inspirations, without just being the soundtrack to Castlevania or Bram Stoker's Dracula, and this somehow captures it all perfectly. Every piece fits the moments, the characters, the feeling of traveling through Barovia and standing against The Devil Himself. I'm a forever GM finally getting to play, in CoS no less, and I am absolutely going to be hyping this soundtrack up for the game. You've *nailed* musically what this adventure feels like, absolutely well done, mate.

Though I play DnD, that is not how I use this. I cannot help but write when I hear this, the incredible atmosphere, those rythmic cello strokes, the sheer mystery. My character, with all this Celtic and Norse magick, his mansion in the shrouded woods, truly could not ask for a better piece to conduct his story. Mostly I use it for his early-mid years as a character, but this can also be used after he becomes more of a threat on the secret eldritch wizard side of things. Verily, only one other song can I use, and then only in distinct circumstance. This, this makes me think of him. Please, for the sake of the DnD players, the writers, and the dreamers, keep making music.

As somebody who's just about to run Strahd I've been looking for something that can truly be called "Epic", and this just gives me so many ideas, and makes me more eager to run it. Amazing work! Edit; Had our first session where the party BARELY made it through the Death House (I softened it up mildly, but they also lucked the fuck out), and as they barely get out, paladin bleeding out on 1 hp, and everybody else barely holding their insides, "He is the Ancient, he is the Land" kicks in. As I describe Strahd approaching, a noble getting off a horse as the fog stands at attention to them ready to burn the house down. The party immediately was shitting bricks reaching for their weapons. I am Going to LOVE using this more now.

I haven't had a chance to actually RUN Curse of Strahd yet but this was the exact soundtrack I was looking for. Hints of the Penny Dreadful soundtrack, shades of Castlevania Lords of Shadow vibe...I mean naturally though. Went straight to Bandcamp and bought it, and linked it to the DM running the CoS game I'm playing in too xD

Penny Dreadful is one of my favourite shows of all time, the music is absolutely amazing and mostly everything about it. Thank you for that great compliment, I truly appreciate it !

So, first of all, this soundtrack is absolutely impeccable! The entire story rushed through my mind as I was listening to this album, and when it got to Glimmer of Hope, i got literal goosebumps... You did an incredible job!

I've left this comment on some of your other videos but I can't say it enough - you're incredibly talented! I use your Tomb of Annihilation tracks in the mesoamerican themed homebrew game I'm running and the CoS campaign I'm playing in uses some of your tracks and loves them. You deserve so much more recognition, keep up the incredible work and I'll keep sharing your videos with everyone who will listen!

OH MY DAMNED FUCKING GOD, THAT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! Um, sorry... As an experienced master who has devoted most of his work to Ravenloft, I can responsibly declare: IT'S JUST DEADLY COOL! Now I need every single piece (every composition), preferably in an hour version.
