The way Void and/or Abyss choose which item to take when there is multiple present is based on eligibility. If you can only take one item and the others despawn after (Boss Rush/Either of the Options items) then Void/Abyss will choose one at random. If there is multiple items and you are allowed to take multiple of them then Void/Abyss will absorb each one.

​@@brunoalturria9481It's random, trust me. If you want Void/Abyss to destroy a specific item, what you can do is take that item, and while Isaac holds the item above his head, use Void/Abyss, and that item will be consumed. You can use this to Void shop items, as well as Devil Deal Items too.

@@brunoalturria9481 I thought it always chose the top left in the room, similar to how the dead list chooses the next enemy pattern. I'm not sure if I recall it correctly. Now I know how it has always worked: In rooms where you pick an item and the other one disappears, it will have a similar effect on void or abyss usage; it will void the first one, and the next one will disappear before it gets voided or abyssed. So, it is not that it does not get voided; it is that it disappears before it is void.

Voiding choice pedestals only grants 1 void increase, so it's best to just go for item rooms & sacrifice the boss rush

When you have multiple item options in Isaac and where one is taken and the other disappears, then the game treats it as if you have only one real item pedestal. That is why for any item that taken away pedestals and gives you smt such as Abyss or Void you may only ever get a buff as if there was one item, cause technically there is you just need to select which one.

@Sinvicta Had a run today that I HAD to come comment. I wanted to complete the Lost to get Godhead, and was missing the Beast, Mother and Megastan. Needless to say, a tall order. So I started a run, and got an R key and a "double active" card in the second floor, then tech 2 and sacred heart on the fourth. So yeah, all of my missing marks happened on a Lost omega run of all things (found another double active card after using the first) hahaha

You can void/abyss passive shop/devil deal items by buying them and when isaac is holding them above their head, pressing the active item, it should eat it nom nom

Not sure if this is how it works in actuality, but I read that if you pick up a passive item with void and abyss duo, you can void the item in the air for stats, or as you did in the run, you can keep them on the floor for an abyssal fly, could be a potential game changer if you want both Rep+ Void and Abyss, just some food for thought

Day 397 of asking Sin for a Fiend Folio run called Fiendish Firsts! But considering Sin seems to be Fiend Foliod out maybe he can try "Boss Butch" adds a bunch of new bosses who aren't completely unfair and for something very unique try "The future" mod adds a new floor with custom enemies and bosses and the boiler adds a third alternative for dross and downpour again with unique enemies and bosses! Maybe add the stranger mod adds a character that is more than a dozen in one!
