drink15 While I have nothing against any of the cast members, the screenwriters for Voyager usually failed to turn in a good script. They refused to write a script that worked within the confines of the setting and so they were constantly having to take the episode outside of the setting. That's why every single episode the transporters were always constantly getting knocked offline or couldn't work because of deus ex machina. And they used in medias res way too often. Most episodes were just a huge mess, and many required that the crew of Voyager were mentally retarded. I do not have enough fingers to count the number of times that a shuttle was stolen, proper security protocols were ignored or nonexistant, how easily accessible every key system on the ship was. Just for an example, the time ship that crashed into Earth had no security protocols in place to prevent people from accessing the ship even though the fact that it was a time ship should have given the engineers the requirement of installing strict security protocols so that in the event of a crash in the past, past Earthlings wouldn't be able to capture the ship and steal its technology. However the timeship from the 27th century crashes onto 1960s Earth, and some hippy who clearly has no knowledge of electric engineering or computer programming has basically no problems accessing the timeship's systems and reverse engineering the technology as well as just generally using the timeship as a timeship, including having access to its weapons and other systems because the timeship had ZERO security systems in place to prevent access. If we want to pick apart that episode, Braxton goes back to the 24th century to destroy Voyager. He tells them there is no time to discuss Voyager's destruction even though he has 500 years until the actual explosion in the 29th century occurs. He doesn't even try to actually figure out what was the actual cause of the explosion, his circumstantial evidence simply is not sufficient to support the conclusion that Voyager was responsible, especially considering that he had access to Voyager's entire ship's log and could easily see that Voyager was not involved in the destruction.

I'm getting vague Knights of Sidonia vibes from this game. 1: Last human colony ship. 2: Crew have to deal with problems (Aliens, among other things) 3: Alien species trying to kill the last humans. Now all we need are giant mechs and this will be the game version of KoS.

I would not recommend choosing the best from each stat (crew members), but the ones that are really good in several things, as you might not be able to use your for that action favorite person.

Wish this game had more actual gameplay (like Pulsar: Lost Colony), and wasnt just like a Mafia Wars game with fancy cockpit graphics to lure in players who are blinded to not see the complete and utter lack of meaningful gameplay. How can people even say this is "like FTL in 3d". Its nothing like FTL. In FTL you actually do something meaningful and interact with your crew and ship in ways that directly 1 to 1 affect the gameplay. I mean what is the gameplay on offer here? It is basically a browser game like Mafia Wars. Select crew to go on "mission" Allocate resources. (Numbers ratio) Wait. Watch random reward screen from "mission" success or failure. (Numbers ratio) Repeat. What is the point of having the cockpit and 3d space rendered, if the gameplay is so utterly barebones and ridiculously uninteractive? I might as well just play this in my browser so i could watch some youtube videos while waiting for the RNG mission outcomes. Then i could watch lets plays of more interesting interactive games in the meantime.
