I was expecting him to hit Aurora's final note that she sings, you know, the super high one, and I had to remind myself that hitting that note is almost not humanly possible. I mean, we all know Aurora isn't human, she's a goddess. Of course this is my first time watching this channel...maybe he's got some magic up his sleeve too? I bet he can hit it. (Seriously from that first note I was like "yep magic trumpet man is blessing my ears with his talent", great job!)
@thetrumpetman4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the nice words! Fun fact: I played this a few keys higher than the original song. So Aurora's last note was even higher. I can hit her original note, but I can't get there in the key I played this in lol

Hey! I've been watching a lot of your older videos. I want to make some of my own multitracks and I was wondering how you do it. Step by step. I think my main concern is getting each track in sync. Please help!
@thetrumpetman4 жыл бұрын
Hi! What kind of equipment are you using? Especially the audio program. For me, I either play along with a recording, or I play along with a click track. For my "Star Wars" 20 trumpet multitrack, I had the official soundtrack recording in my audio program. So I just played each part with the soundtrack going. So if I was playing in time with the soundtrack with each part, then when you suddenly take the soundtrack away, all the parts are relatively in sync. If I play along with a click track, that's when I go in my audio program and set up metronome markings throughout the song. So while I record, there is a metronome going in my ear. So if each part is following the metronome, then they will all be in sync. And the metronome is turned off after recording, so only the in-sync parts are left. I don't know if this sounds confusing at all. Just let me know lol
@leosteamedbaozi98674 жыл бұрын
@@thetrumpetman Sad to say, I am a true newbie. I have no proper equipment for this sort of stuff. I have my trumpet, a phone, a laptop, headphones lol. Pretty much it. I understand what you've said. I have sony vegas, which is a video editing software and my plan was to record, let's say trumpet 1, on my phone, then upload it to my laptop, import it into my recording software and play the second part while the first part plays in the background thru my headphones. Any suggestions? I'll try the soundtrack method maybe. Also, where can u find sheet music for this sort of stuff or do you do it all by ear?
@thetrumpetman4 жыл бұрын
@@leosteamedbaozi9867 Hmmm, this one thing would be trickier with your set-up and if there are different tempos in the song, but you could record a video on your phone of just a metronome clicking along. And then put that into your program and record each part while you listen to that through your headphones. Otherwise I would personally have the soundtrack going. And one really creative thing you could do that might be hard to pull off is to film yourself conducting how you think the song would go. And then watch that video while you record each part. Something to help keep time. I basically almost always use sheet music for multitrack videos. There may be a thing here and there I might learn by ear, but for the most part I use sheet music. I would just try googling it. Sometimes you can get lucky. I found the entire orchestral score for "Star Wars" online. So I was able to put each part into my music-writing program. A site called "musescore" has provided sheet music for me before. And many times you'll just have to get creative. For me, there aren't just going to be multitrack arrangements of a particular song I want to do. But there usually is at least a piano arrangement of it. So then I just find piano sheet music for it, and use that.

Great performance, still a terrible excuse for a song. Not your fault though. Just the worst song in Disney movie history. The "we have to have a hit song like in the first movie" kind. And think about it she is singing about a siren sound in her head that no one else hears... That's not a siren, that is a condition called tinnitus!
