I set up the chords beforehand and cycle through them using a button in the bottom left of the omnichord, or you can use a pedal to cycle. I'm hyped to see what it is, I got the om-84 for the analog sound but this new one could be super diverse in what it can do

The chord change button has a loud click associated with it, the actual keys are rubber and don't make noise. Foot pedals for these are harder to get a hold of than the omnichord itself

Keep on checking ebay for auctions and try to win one for cheaper than normal price, I got pretty lucky with mine, came with the hard case and all, but I don't have a foot pedal so I can't play keys with both hands since I use my left to change the chords

@@sachalevy6228 you can register a certain amount of chords and play then back, progressing through them with a button, that's the clicking sound, it can also be done with a foot pedal. When you're in playback mode, the grey keys play normal notes. Would be easier to work the strum plate as well if I had a foot pedal at the time of recording

Basically you have major, minor, and 7th chords, if you push major or minor and 7th at once you get a major 7th or minor. That's essentially how it works, worth noting that any note's sharp (#) is the note above's flat (b), like F# is a Gb

On the OM-84 at least, in the bottom right corner there are a few switches for record and play and I believe a red LED that is on, it's usually to replay the recorded chords while you play the keys. System 2 may be different

I don't know a whole lot about the instrument, I just know there's the base octave and an octave up, and I started at the higher octave and quickly switch to the base early on

how can you play the melody and the chord at the same time ? i don’t have an omnichord im just curious haha, did you record the chord then the melody ?

So there is a record/replay function in the bottom left, as well as a chord button. In record, you play a chord and it'll play until you switch chords or hit the chord button, in which it'll beep and save that chord. You do that for all your chords (think the left hand's purpose on a piano). Then when you switch to replay the chord button switches between the chords you saved in sequence while you play the melody
