Tako it was very inspirational for me, when I started to wake up after 42 years, started wild camping after watching it in 2016, love quote from film, try to find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions, just out there in the wild, experiencing everything around you is amazing, it's therapy for me

Bro he tells not to follow him but to follow the dreams which has some meaning
@amedeofiocchi17175 жыл бұрын
He obviously didn’t find happiness! In one of te last scene he writes “happiness is real only when shared” , he was alone and yes he felt free but still, alone. I agree with you about the fascinating and utopian life he lived but still he died because of loneliness. Sooo yes the film is actually beautiful but I would advise to change perspective and watch the film from another point of view. That’s my idea anyway and we all can think whatever we want. Peace
@amedeofiocchi17175 жыл бұрын
And yes, I love the IDEA of how he lived and be lost in the wood sometimes is what we need but he shouldn’t be an hero to follow he simply should be an inspiration to live life differently focusing more on important things
@kabreu7585 жыл бұрын
Amedeo Fiocchi It's sad how grossly people misinterpret his life story. He spent his entire adult life arguing you didn't need people to be happy, venturing into solitude. He died realizing his mistake, it was a tragedy.

The scene that starts at 1:52 does anyone know what the story behind that is?
@hanry75 жыл бұрын
That's when Chris is walking around Los Angeles shortly after he applied for a new ID. I think this scene is supposed to show how disconnected Chris feels from the life of that man and the other people at the bar. He also sees his earlier self in that man and realizes that he's not that way anymore. He has seen a lot of homeless people that day and now experiences the drastic contradictions and inequalities within the society that he no longer wants to be a part of. (That's just my interpretation of course :-D)
