This colorway is definitely unique and different for you. It looks great. My favorite part of the Wild West is the independence of the folks and ingenuity to colonize a new land.

Oh that is so true. It must have been a huge challenge to survive and prosper in the Wild West. I have enjoyed this colourway and glad i went outside of my comfort zone. I think i may have others choose my colourway in the future as well as I do tend to gravitate to what I am familiar with.

I agree, Terie, the movies are great. I live in Southern California and we’ve done a lot of camping. Although I’m not particularly fond of the desert, that’s where my husband loves to go. And there’s nothing like seeing the stars at night so far away from the ‘light pollution’ of the city.
@TheGuyWhoSews4 күн бұрын
Oh that is so true Marlene. We were lucky in Australia as there was next to no light pollution once you got out of town. Being up in the mountains in Nicaragua was amazing too as you could really see the milky way and so many stars.

I've got Halloween on my mind 😊 I thought the cream and black was spider webs and not wood grain at first.
@TheGuyWhoSews8 күн бұрын
Gday Cindy. I've been using this fabric for a few months and it still looks like spiderwebs to me. I can see the wood grain in some ways but I feel you could go either way with this and have a good case 😊

Oh it's like you have Easter eggs in your videos... that's so fun! I am also doing the small, I am loving this fabric as well. I have Tim Holtz newest fabric line "Christmas Past" arriving Monday, and I was thinking I might use it for a side by side sew along following this same pattern, it could be an interesting experiment!
@TheGuyWhoSews4 күн бұрын
G'day Linda. Yes I do leave some Easter Eggs in my videos and thumbnails from time to time. I would love to see pictures of that if you end up doing the side by side thing.

Love this color way. I didn't join WWW but I haven't finished Tree of Life so I am busy with CC. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the weekend. I hope you are safe. (Not sure where you are in the states.) What do I like about the Wild West???? Cowboy movies!!! lol. That is the best I can do.

Gday Terrie. Glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate you checking in on me. I'm in Virginia so thankfully out of the storms path. I've been checking in with some of the content creators that were in the storms trajectory and they are all fine thankfully. The cowboy movies is a great answer. I almost used that myself

G'day Donnell. The Dusty Rose is looking fantastic so far as are all of the colourways.

Looks good. I can't wait to get mine together this weekend! BTW, I think you meant the fabric designer is Tim Holtz 🤔
@TheGuyWhoSews8 күн бұрын
Gday. Yes it should have been Tim Holtz. I realized that after editing and was hoping no one would notice. Guess that didn't work. Good catch. 😊

Coincidentally, the hubs & I’ve been watching IFC that offers shows like Gunsmoke, Wagon Train et al plus tons of old movies, many in B&W! Tim Holtz creations have always been a fav! Looking fwd to your big reveal!!!

G'day Lesa. I never used to be a Western fan but have started to enjoy them recently. This is my first Tim Holtz experience but am really enjoying it and would definitely use his fabrics again. He has some fun designs.

I think it would be great to see the country before all the roads were put in. The wildlife that roamed around, like Bison & wolves, before they were almost extinct.
@TheGuyWhoSews4 күн бұрын
Yes that would have been neat to see.

Thanks for sharing the block. Like the colours. Have you heard anything about your entry in the quilt fare 😊😊

Glad you like the block and fabrics. Fair started today. We will probably go next weekend. I might find out beforehand if someone tells me (I'd be fine with that actually)

Oopps sorry....I'm doing the same colorway and a huge Tim Holtz fan! Great job on this clue it's going to be a cool looking quilt!
@TheGuyWhoSews8 күн бұрын
G'day Linda! Are you doing the small or the large? I havent used Tim's fabrics before but am really enjoying this. I'm really enjoying the design of the quilt so far too. It feels a lot different to the previous PMQ's. No need to be sorry. I thought it was neat that you caught my slip up on the designer's name. I sometime leave these errors in to save time and curious to see if anyone notices :)

Now I’m a little sad that I didn’t sign up but I’m still doing a lot of cotton cuts projects. I love your color way and can’t wait to see the whole quilt. Do the ambassadors get the clues before the rest of us. My question is did you finish tree of life or are you still on number nine clue which we haven’t gotten yet?
@TheGuyWhoSews6 күн бұрын
Gday Helen. The next pmq signup is usually in December. As ambassadors we do get the clues a little early so we can produce our content for release on the day the clue releases. Clue 9 for tree of life comes out next Friday.
