Gday Kelsey. Its a fun pattern. My friend Stephanie made that last year and I someobe entered it into the VA state fair last year too. I'd love to see a picture of yours if that's possible.

Hi Sean it's hard to belive the quilt top is nearly finished. Iv enjoyed watching you do the clues. Ii like you love batiks. Thanks for sharing. Sending love xxxxxx😊😊😊😊😊

So true Ange. I was just thinking about that the other day when I was filming this. It doesnt seem that long ago that I started this quilt. I have loved working with these batiks. Its strange that Im not doing them for Wild West but not in a bad way. Hopefully you can make the live in a little bit.

My first was 20 bear paw blocks in assorted fall fabrics.

Oh that is fun Marlene. I attempted one of those fairly early on but had to put it away for a while as I couldnt get all of the seams to line up. The quilt top is done and now waiting to get quilted. Its a fun design to make.

Purples, YESSS!

Its been really nice working with these purples. Even though red is my favourite colour i am drawn to working with purples a lot in my quilting.

I Love the fabrics for this project Terri! As soon as I saw them I knew this was the one I wanted to do. I cant wait to see the final design and how it all looks when it is done.

@mariejohns138718 сағат бұрын
Hi Sean! Have you started to try and figure it out yet?
@TheGuyWhoSews4 сағат бұрын
Sadly no Marie. I worry I'll put some of the blocks back in the wrong bag and really mess up the final assembly. I've tried guessing certain aspects in the past and am usually wrong on that too. I do believe i know what is going in the centre and some of the border pieces but beyond that im not sure. I also like not knowing surprisingly enough and waiting to see the final result :)

Me too. It had its challenges putting it together like some of the material had holes and fraying but I got it figured out. I didnt know about fusible backing then or I probably would have added that too.

Hi Sean. I haven’t made one of these but may someday. Yours turned out great. They’re kind of impressive in a cutesy way.

I’ve always admired those type of quilts but never made one myself. Not sure I have any interest in making them…but I love the way they look so wonderfully soft! Thank you for your interesting videos!

You are definitely an adventurous quilter! I like the term bubble, although I am more familiar with puff quilts. Have not attempted that technique yet!
@mariejohns1387Күн бұрын
Hi Sean! I called them puff Quilts. And yes, I have made them for my cats and dogs. I got tired of hanging on the edge of the bed every night so that was my solution lol I think they’re fun to make.

I have heard a different definition of why a seam ripper might be called Froggy or you are frogging - because you rip out the seam & rip it sounds like ribbit (sound that a frog makes). Lol 🐸

I love the rainbows you have with these quilts. I would call it a puff quilt, but I have heard it called a biscuit quilt.

I would love to hear about your use of minky. Some have nightmares about various brands and I know others are easier to work with. I've also seen that some you cut differently to avoid the minky mess (rotary vs scissors)

My first quilt was about 20 years ago. My best friend, Ann and I went to a beginner's quilt class where we made a sampler quilt. She made a wall hanging with 6 blocks...Ichose to make a queen size quilt with 20 blocks and we hand quilted our projects. Mine obviously took a looooong time to finish. I love quilting!!!

So wonderful! This sew along will be sew fun. The quilt and fabrics are perfect. The thing you did know the name is a button. I used to collect them when I was a kid. I have my eye on the Anne of Green Gables quilt kit, but I also love Jon's new pattern The Haunted Cabin. Happy sewing!

My first quilt was two days before the birth of my first child. Family had come to visit. My great aunt had driven from PA. She brought me a box of squares she had gotten at a church sale. My mother, father and I became an assembly line, pinning, sewing, etc. Had no idea how to quilt, so, we tied it at the corners, turned the backing to the front for binding. This was 1977.
