Wilderness Bushcraft Camping in Heavy Winds.
It's been over a month since I've been able to get out into the wilderness. July was full with a course I was taking, which was between 9-12 hours a day, and to celebrate its completion, the family and I went to Napoli for a few days.
The weather has been extremely dry and warm, very similar to my first year in Italy seven years ago, so needless to say, I shied away from building a fire. The birds were even too hot to sing. It was still very warm even after dark, and I slept outside of the sleeping bag in only my underwear. Fortunately for others, there was no one around. lol
If you notice anything strange in this video, and can guess correctly, I'll pin your post. Only the discerning eye will notice.
The gear I use is listed below, for any who are interested. I get no kick-backs or profit from these links. I just believe in promoting quality.

As always it is a pleasure to see you again my friend! I always check for your posts and am like a small child when you appear. It is such a pleasure to get hints, or just the pleasure of being jealous of your time in the woods. Most importantly you remind everyone to respect and treasure that which God has given us to enjoy. Now I need a sandwich…. Take good care!

They were, but you know even a hockey puck tastes good cooked outside. 😬 But honestly they were delicious. One with jalapeño and one without.

Well looks like you need to make a new kuska/sheath with the new logo. And i didnt see the old logo on the kuska to think about it. But hey, was that your home grown jalapeno, think i remember you saying once you grew som at home. Always a treat, i like how true to roots bushcrafty you are. Its been sow hot here too, i cant hack it. We had a cold spot the other day and i got a camp in, but its a scourcher! Best of luck, lots of love!

Hey my friend. 🙂 I'll still use the "W" from time to time, but I was due for a logo change. 😅 Yes, that was the first jalapeño from one of my plants this year. It was really good . Yes, the temperatures have been between 35 and 40 for a month here, but this outing I think it only got to 32. Still uncomfortable. I'm ready for autumn 🍂. Thanks for watching, brother. 🙏🙏

Two people look at a forest, one sees the beauty of the creation and feels close to nature. The other sees only timber and feels money in his pocket. After, or rather, in the middle of the drought crisis it was a wise decision not to have an open fire! A gas stove is a practical alternative to make a brew or to prepare food. Even if you have to do without the magic of dancing flames. Thanks for sharing the video and thoughts. I hope that the wind will bring rain!

Your surroundings look curious. What seems strange is that I cannot make out what the parallel line are above your head at 15:13 and 20:56, they do not appear to be from your paracord and look man made. The view at 15:13 appears also to show a wooden batten. In the background some of the large timber looks to be sawn. Is there or has there been an aerial walkway in the area, they are too low to be power lines. Anyway you provide some interesting viewing with your videos of living the simple life outdoors.

Nice catch. Before I came here the first time a couple of years ago, somebody had cut down maybe 20 or 30 lengths of bamboo that grows in the area. First I saw where they had cut them. Then I found this spot where they had begun building a shelter. They never came back to finish it. I wouldn't have a problem with it, other than it being an eyesore, but they used nails and screws (into the trees) and a ladder, so much of it is too high for me to cut down or remove. I imagine one day I will, because it's kind of ugly in the background. Thank you for watching. 👍 I appreciate it.
