F1 2021 - A New Damage System You Say? 👀

On F1 2021 they have updated the damage system so I have decided to investigate how that looks in the new game. Now you're able to damage the rear wing, floor, sidepods, diffuser and bargeboards, so let's see how that looks after a massive crash!

In my career mode on 2020 in Vietnam there was a lap 3 incident where 6 drivers had severe collisions and 4 DNFs and would have surely been a red flag.. that really made me wish it was in the game

To damage the defuser you need a car to hit it with it's front wing exactly under the rear wing

If you really want to test the diffuser damage, just slam headfirst into a rival's diffuser and look at the damage on HIS car. If not, go to Paul Ricard and reverse from one of its overly long straights and into a wall or a speeding car. The lack of gravel in the runoff area is pretty helpful in this sort of test.

Honestly I think that cosmetically the damage model would look 1000x better straight away if all they did was make it so that the actual nose of the car came off in serious collisions instead of JUST the wing itself, look at a proper real life crash in these cars and the nose disintegrates all the way up to the front suspension and that’s the kind of thing I feel is missing. We don’t care about little scratches in the air box we never have we never did or will

The diffuser probably only gets damaged when a car behind hits you in the rear. The low noses will hit the diffuser.

The end plates floating in mid air hurts my eyes! What a lack of effort put in by the developers! What I don't like about old f1 games are the ai cars never make mistakes, this would make the racing so much more exciting.

Let’s be honest and say we have to thank EA for this new damage model Codies could never bring us on their own. I hope future titles become more F1 Challenge 99-02 style with official broadcast overlays and graphics, manual pit driving, the ability to switch to other driver onboards mid race like on F1C, saving full race replays, and for goodness sake more race engineer voices 🙄

The physics itself in this game isn't good, cars broke a bit more than before now but on heavy collisions there isn't high impact forces feeling at all. Cars should bounce and rebound more when other car hits.

I dont know why but i hate the fact the cars stop so quickly like can they not allow when u loose a wheel like a bit longer before it prompts up and goes into slow mode that u crashed, ie: hitting the wall. so like make the timer a bit longer before it appearing
