I love ADA too and am heavily invested in it, but I also think that a lot of people have unreasonable expectations towards how high it will go and when. You saw that with the Africa deal yesterday. I think a lot of people expected it to go to the moon, yet it did nothing and people started to call it a shit coin again. ADA is def. a long-term investment and won't be doing much until smart contracts are in place.

At the moment staking, as far as I understand it, is considered lending (which is kind of Bullshit). And if you stake your coins your holding period gets increased to 10 years. I think there will be some changes to this in the next years, but I prefer just hodling with the current situation. (not financial advice. I'm just a kid that used Google)

Yeah I staked my ADA with itc stake pool about 3 weeks ago and I’m earning just over 2 coins every 5 days. I wish I’d staked 4 months ago when I first got the coins. I did some dubious extrapolation... if I stake my small ADA position (3000 coins) for 25 years at 5%, that turns into 10000 coins and if Cardano market cap manages to reach 5T in that 25 years that puts the price at $200. If my sums are correct that adds up to $2 million dollars for a $4000 investment. I’m keen to see if that plays out

Living under German tax law I don't pay any taxes on crypto gains if I hodl for more than 12 months. This doesn't apply however if I'm lending my crypto to gain interest which arguably describes the proof of stake process. Therefore I will have to pay a 24% tax on my ada gains because I gained a 5% staking reward if I want to sell after a year. So it isn't all cotton candy

There are tons of videos that explain how to stake. Just use Yoroi wallet and choose a stake pool. You don't have to send your ADA anywhere to stake - it will always stay in your wallet and isn't even locked! There's nothing to loose.

Daedalus wallet is for desktop. Yoroi wallet is for mobile. You will need to send your ADA to the wallet before you can stake. Read the info provided by the wallet's website.

An even more important reason to stake your ADA: if you don’t stake it, the exchanges will and profit from your laziness. This is particularly bad for ADA if you believe in the project, believe in the decentralization mission it is trying to achieve, and want your voting power to remain yours. If you don’t stake your ADA, you are giving up all of that power and influence to Binance or whoever else you exchange with. Do the right thing and stake your ADA.

Agreed - pros and cons of staking, what are normal fees, bad fees, recommended platforms, is a stake pool available across different apps/platforms, etc.
