I’m farther into the video and I agree 💯. CPI methodology is so garbage and the fact that they changed it without adjustment to the chart is so so wrong from more than just a data analysis viewpoint. What if we worked on a chart that tracks “real inflation” with an adjustment/modifier when they changed the CPI formula? Do you think it would be useful?

Ben, the most stubborn and focused being. I love him. I remember when they used to abuse him, yet he kept churning out 1 hour movies and in the end, he is right. It's either the haters are now wondering if he's a magician or they are watching all his videos, be it 3 minutes or 3 hours. 😂

They're not gonna cut 0.50 %. Powell said that if inflation keeps going down according to expectations a cut is on the table but a 0.50 % is not something they have even considered. I think Powell is gonna keep doing what he says he's gonna do and cut 0.25 %. I don't understand why the market still refuses to believe him.

I think the only thing heightened rates have done is impact the labor market. Most of the inflation that we experience came from mass movement of people (remote work) and choked up supply chains. I actually would venture to guess that interest rates, outside of forcing business to tighten their belts, had very little impact on inflation and it was on it's way down (and quickly) on it's own.

When inflation startet to pick up in Summer 1972 the unenployment level was going down in the prior months. This time seems like unemployment will further rise. So it should not be like 72, right?🤔

Ben, all of 2022 and 2023 you mentioned that it takes a full 12 months for rate hikes/cuts to be felt throughout the economy. Don’t you think that if the fed cut by 50-100 points in September, the inflation rate will keep going back down/unemployment keeps going up because of the lag effect? What I’m saying is, I don’t even feel confident that a 50 point cut in septemeber will be enought to slow unemployment.

Hey Ben, interests rates at the time of the halving in 2020 were already falling significantly, still Bitcoin lost around 60% whereas Others lost around 70%. In the current environment ( around the current halving) interest rates haven't been falling at all. Would that suggest that a drop of more then 60% in BTC and more than 70% in Others is likely?
