Crazy story time: a few years ago, I traveled to China and got caught in a misunderstanding that landed me in a detention center. The conditions were brutal-starved for days, beaten to enforce ideological control, and forced to sleep in a cramped room with barely any space. It was surreal and terrifying, feeling trapped and powerless. Luckily, after what felt like an eternity, my embassy intervened, and I was finally released. It was a nightmare I’ll never forget.

I wouldnt say anything but the pronunciation of a couple names sound like completely different words in chinese. As a rough guide Cao is pronounced like sow not cow, and Zhi is like the Ge or Germs not Jee, which sounds like youre calling him a chicken 😂
