We scarcely realize just how dependent we are on God and the Holy Spirits working in our lives. It shows by how often we dismiss promptings, walk where we shouldn't...even in our thought life... and downplay God-inspired good works. God's sacrifice for us and His mediation as High Priest for us needs to be felt and realized more deeply. I say that because I see it in my life and many of those Christians around me. Join me as I desire and pray for a tighter grip on the Living Vine daily. For without that we truly can do nothing, while thinking we are ok. Our hearts are just naturally bent toward worldliness. A season gift to those who hear his voice. Amen Prayer. And Being in the God Head 😇 What is prayer? What do we use it for? Who do we pray to? Who or What do we pray for? The Vision of the Lord showing me how prayer works. I pray the Spirit uses me to share this 🙏🙏🏽🙏🏿🙏🏾 When In deep prayer you have the Scriptures already in your heart. This gives you a path of hearing Jesus. In hearing Jesus, you use Jesus’s words from his Father. This is the work of the Holy Spirit😇. These spirits also whisper in your ears during prayer. A good reason for a prayer closet and to shut the door👀👂🏿🦻🏻. So if Jesus knows your prayers before you pray and the Holy Spirit whispers in your ear, do you not think you are hearing yourself in prayer as well. Using the words of Jesus, sent by the Father with the Holy Spirit. Which these actions, now allow the Holy Spirit to take action? Wow 👀👂🏿🦻🏻 Especially when the angels whisper in your ear. And this is the voice of Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit. Carrying his Fathers Word. For me To say thank you Jesus, would not compared to the size of a mustard seed. How do we come in contact with the “blood” of Jesus Christ? In other words: What Must I Do To Be Saved? I didn’t hear a reference to the role that baptism plays in our salvation in your sermon. What I was taught and what I read in the scriptures about how to be saved is: 1. Hear the Gospel Romans 10:17, John 8:32; 2. Believe the Gospel Hebrews 11:6, John 20:31; 3. Repent of past sins Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30; 4. Confess faith in Jesus Christ Romans 10:10, Matthews 10:32; 5. Be Baptized Galatians 3:27, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38. You did an excellent job of explaining the role that God and Jesus played to make salvation possible for mankind, but it was not as clear to me what steps mankind needs to take to access that salvation. I will continue to watch, as maybe there is a Dr. Charles Stanley sermon that goes into greater detail. Blessings to you all!

Lee, even though he has preached many sermons on the topic of believer's baptism over the years (in fact, the Lord used one of Dr. Stanley's sermons in 2005 to convict me of MY need to be baptized!), the reason Dr. Stanley doesn't mention baptism when he's explaining the biblical Gospel of Christ is because baptism, while important, is NOT a requirement for salvation. This is why the Apostle Paul, at one point, told the Christians in Corinth that Christ did not send him to baptize but to preach the Gospel. Throughout the Scriptures, it is clear that salvation comes only by the grace (i.e., the undeserved, unmerited favor and lovingkindness) of God alone through faith (i.e., exclusive trust) alone in the Person and *all-sufficient, finished* work of Christ alone in His perfect life, atoning death, and bodily resurrection- *PERIOD* (see, especially, Ephesians 2:8-9). Having said that, the *evidence* that one has truly been born again will be displayed in the good "fruit" that his/her life bears, and that fruit will entail repentance and obedience to ALL of God's commands, including the command for a Christian disciple to be baptized by immersion. But note well that *none* of those "good works" is what saves a person or makes one right with God. On the contrary, the good works/fruits are the *consequences* of salvation rather than a pre-requisite to it; otherwise, Christianity would be no different than all the other meritorious, works-based religions of the world which teach that one must do this, this, and this to be accepted by God and go to heaven one day. No, Jesus Christ did EVERYTHING necessary for man's salvation, because ONLY HE could. The only thing we hell-deserving sinners *can* do is *receive* His gracious gift with *empty* hands of faith. Thus, FAITH is the solitary thing that gives any one of us "access" to His salvation. (And before you attempt to argue that baptism saves, you should understand that a few controversial verses taken out of context do not prove anything. The *entirety* of Scripture-Old and New-must be taken into account to settle this or any issue, and when one takes an honest and thorough look at the *whole* *record* of God's inerrant Word, from Abraham to the Apostle Paul, it becomes clear that the overall message of the Bible is, again, that salvation is by the *grace* of God alone through *faith* *alone* in *Christ* alone. If you add anything to that "equation," you will no longer have the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and you will be left only with a false gospel that *cannot* save.) I hope this helps, my friend. Know that I will be praying for you-and I mean that!

By the way, I’ve been a student of the bible (Old Testament and New Testament) for more than 50 years. And, I “Trust in the Lord” with all my heart “and lean not on” my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), but with supplication I fervently pray to God daily for understanding and guidance. Corresponding to that [rescue through the flood], baptism [which is an expression of a believer’s new life in Christ] now saves you, not by removing dirt from the body, but by an appeal to God for a good (clear) conscience, [demonstrating what you believe to be yours] through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God [that is, the place of honor and authority], with [all] angels and authorities and powers made subservient to Him.” (Amplified Bible) Peace and Love

Paul elaborates on Jesus as 'our great High preist! Since in Israel these were men chosen & appointed by God to act as INTERMEDIARIES between the people and God, Jesus then as our 'High priest' CANNOT be God himself! Especially since he EARNED this title by being OBEDIENT & being fully tested by the Father for suitability for this role! ( see Heb 4:15. 5:7,8). Paul even stated that "No man taketh this honour UNTO HIMSELF but that is called of God as was Aaron. So ALSO CHRIST GLORIFIED NOT HIMSELF TO BE MADE AN HIGH PRIEST, but he that said unto him 'Thou art my Son, today I have begotten thee'. ( Hebrews 5:4,5)

Jesus is no high priest but the only Savior, the Owner of heaven. The OMNIPOTENT God cannot be here to make his work now in real time. That work had to be done "before the foundation of the world". This is why also Jesus is a NON-OMNIPOTENT God (see the gospels, an omnipotent person doesn't NEED HELP when going into the wilderness (see Jesus after being baptized) (see "the Son is not able to do anything of Himself..."). Jesus is God because HE HAD BEEN the almighty God in a very distant past ("He who has seen me has seen the Father"). He then got rid of his omnipotence to become like a normal man. "Son" just means He DERIVES from God. This means that at a time Jesus is DIFFERENT from the almighty God since He is like a normal man now and He is NOT DISTINCT from God either, since He had been that almighty God. The almighty God thus only dwells in a very distant past, so that "the world has not known you". This is why "No man has seen God at any time.". However - due to his omnipotence - from that past God is able to reach to us now with his words and actions. Since NOBODY is here to speak those words and to take those actions, we can say that the presence of God here corresponds to the "presence of a spirit". Thus, we can say that God is here, but He is a spirit ("God is a spirit"). He is the Spirit of God aka Holy Spirit . In essence only a RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD is available since in reality God only dwells in that distant past. Only Jesus and the POWER of God (a thing) are really present here, they figuratively sit in heaven next to each other. (For ex. the power of God was used for Mary's pregnancy.).

You’re wrong there is 3 person of the god head, god the father, god the son and god the Holy Spirit. Three separate people. They were from the beginning of time and are still here today. God is and as always been omnipotent. He sees and. Here’s all even when Jesus came to earth he was both god and man. That’s why he knew what the false teachers where thinking. Why the waves and winds obeyed him. He didn’t stop being god he was and always god. Genesis said let us make man in our image. Who was us? God the father, god the son, god the Holy Spirit. God is the king of kings and lord of lord. The Holy Spirit is our helper and god is father. When Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the father. He said I and the father are one. They’re both god Jesus came to tell us about the father and to died so we have a chance of heaven and forgiveness of sin. Jesus’s sovereignty should never be in question. When he came to earth Jesus knew everything that would happen everything that people though he was never weak as a man. He was STILL king of kings and lord of lord. He was still god. He will always be god.

@@rfield4308 (A) Jesus is NOT omnipotent, an omnipotent person doesn't need help when going into the wilderness (see my previous post, the power to heal of Jesus is always "borrowed" by the Father, see Jesus when He thanks the Father for the Lazarus' resurrection. (B) Contrary to your statement there is no "third God-Person", the gospels have been misunderstood, they are just TWO: Father and Son. The reason is that the Holy Spirit is the Father (who indeed is a spirit). WHO IS INSIDE JESUS? Well, we are absolutely sure that THE FATHER IS INSIDE JESUS AND LEADS HIM VERY TIGHTLY when speaking and acting : (1) "Truly, truly I say to you, THE SON IS NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING of himself,45 but ONLY WHAT HE SEES THE FATHER DOING; for whatever things that One does, THESE THINGS ALSO THE SON DOES LIKEWISE. (2) "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will find out that I am he, and OF MYSELF I DO NOTHING, but rather EXACTLY AS THE FATHER HAS TAUGHT ME, THOSE THINGS I SPEAK. 29And the one who sent me IS CONTINUALLY WITH ME. HE HAS NOT LEFT ME ALONE, because I always do the things pleasing to him." Does this mean Jesus has TWO SPIRITS INSIDE HIM: (1) the Father AND (2) the Holy Spirit, to help Him? Of course NOT, as also clearly stated by Him ("I am not ALONE because the FATHER is with me"). Thus, ONLY ONE SPIRIT - the Father - is inside Jesus to help Him. This simply means that the HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE JESUS mentioned in the gospels IS THE FATHER, who is a spirit ("God is a spirit") and who is called "Spirit of God" aka "Holy Spirit". Not only in Jesus, exactly the same kind of relief - by the Father - when speaking - also occurs inside the apostles: "because it is not ye that will speak, but the SPIRIT OF YOUR FATHER...". However, you can notice there that the term "SPIRIT" is used instead. Well, confusion arises because Jesus has the "Father who is a spirit" and calls Him sometimes "FATHER" (Holy) (generally when Himself is concerned), sometimes "SPIRIT" (Holy, of God, of the Father...) when other people are concerned (see the apostles above). But they are just TWO NAMES for the SAME ONE SPIRIT: THE FATHER. No further "omnipotent spirit Lord giver of life" exists: it's just an invention.
