The slowdown in type growth is because you’ve squeezed out most of the useful coins (bits) of info. It takes 34 bits to uniquely identify every single person alive (2^34 possibilities), so no code should have more than 34 coins (bits). To be actually useful, I think upping from 9 to like 12 is good. The fringe of the theory will have lots of little exceptions but the great bulk will be covered.

@@OscarBedford Dianna is battling Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (which is a terrible, pretty unknown disease, I also developed it seven years ago). I think you confuse her with Simone Giertz, who also looks a little like them and is a KZbinr as well - she also had to fight cancer.
