I've watched through several of your INFP videos now. Each one has at one point or another succeeded in bringing tears to my eyes. I'm not sure how you do it - but you have a way of explaining things so that they really hit upon the core motivations and driving factors inside me. I'm shocked and incredibly touched by the sense of true understanding you portray toward the INFP. It's very rare. You have insight, and a natural vision to you. It's something precious, which builds us up in a way which is validating, and so needed. I'm thankful to have stumbled across your videos.

Your first video had both intuitive concepts and depth. Perhaps not completely understood by other types, but absolutely by an INFP.

Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad I can make sense of the INFP in a way that INFPS understand and agree with.

In a class someone asked who we are as individuals and instantly I thought about how I'm a vine and I'm growing out to find connections around me. This to me seemed like a reasonable thing to think or imagine but as people answered the question in the group, I realized that most people talk about their job or their religion as how they see themselves. This is how I view Fi on one level is to feel who I am through whatever shape that Ne latches onto that is what I become. I become a cricket, a tree, the lost child or even a planet and the star it orbits. This is how I process information on a daily basis.

Nice. You know it took a while to be able to admit to others about my thought processes because before I read up on Jungian theory or MBTI typology, it was like telling people that I metamorphose mentally into things which they then nod and think that I should have stopped "pretending" after the age of 10, the poor dear. Delving into psychological typologies has opened up a fascinating new world for me much like how I see it has for Isabel Myers who is/was also an INFP; albeit, I'm reading the material in reverse order (just started reading Jung's Psychological Types after reading a slew of other books on the subject). Not sure what you think about Dr Drenth, but I appreciate his insights greatly. A. J. Drenth is supposedly an INTP too.

Meeting up isn't really a problem, though, you might find that I'm half Louis C.K. and half walrus and not what you were expecting at all. :D That possibility always exists out there in the risky world of cyber hook-ups. lol

I’m an INFP. We’re better at articulating other people’s emotions than explaining our own.

I've met INFPs that suffer from a difficulty of articulation period when it involved some item of existential property. Whether this property was their feelings or feelings of another. To me it appeared the weight and magnitude of said existential thing particularly tragedy was far too enormous in weight to feel as if they could properly articulate what they or another was experiencing. I have had friends that have forgone description altogether and have told me, "you can't understand or won't understand", or just created a piece of art. Granted this is not a truism for all INFPS, but I do notice that articulating their experience whether it be there's or another's if they experience whatever phenomenological climate they're experiencing then it may be difficult for the INFP to articulate what they're experiencing. That was the only point I was hoping to make about an INFPS potential difficulties in articulation. I know plenty of verbally loquacious INFPS and am not saying that INFPS aren't or can't be articulate.

To your example of your INFP friend looking at the carcass and not being able to articulate the meaning behind the existence of that carcass, as and INFP I would like to put forward the idea that she may have been looking for any intent behind it. Investigative in the sense that she needed to find out if it was a violent death by intent or accident and in the case of an accident, what could have been done do avoid it.

6 years later i know, but im not sure i agree. I feel like the carcass in the road on it's own justifies its own reflection irrespective of intent. For example I could imagine myself (also infp) staring at the carcass in respect to the life lost; the brutality of the world has taken an innocent life and I could owe it to the animal to take my time and empathise with its memory and experience. Another way to look at it would be to examine it as an extension of the circle of life. The beauty in which all living things will live and die and to reflect on oneself caught up in this cycle and remember the fragility of existence. To know that one day my experience may be one with the animal and to not fear that, instead to find beauty and joy in the present. This is not to discredit or putdown your perspective. I just wanted to offer other methods of interpretation. It's also incredibly moving to me that even though it's between two youtube commenters. The legacy of this animal lives on in our debate over the imagery of its death.

C.S. Joseph needs to watch your videos on INFPs cuz he just doesn't get it

He probably doesn't but he helped me understand that my feelings sometimes need to be put aside when it comes to matters like actually develop my other cognitive functions. His way of explaining us is more on what proof he has & the "math" he's put into to understand why it is that we are like that. I understand both tho. He uses expression & words because he thinks out correct words for it & is more of how our animus side works while Joseph focuses more on how our shadow side can effect our functions. Both channels have balanced me in a way that Joseph's philosophy of having both good & evil in this reality does not make you hypocritical or paradoxal but balancing yourself & knowing how evil world is the best way of keeping yourself in with reality & understanding evil intentions thrown at you & using it to your advantage because like he said "there's not good & evil but ignorant vs wise" (something similar) to understand that yin & yang is very much necessary to live on planet earth

Of course an INTP records on a potato (JK). Verbally you should watch out for the phrase "very really". It seems like you're falling back on it as a place holder but grammatically it's off. As an aside, I absolutely identify with INTP and INFP. As I get older I find myself delving into archetypes and shamanic practices as a way to fix human communities because technology has gotten it so utterly wrong. I'm also finding myself really disturbed by the lack of ethics in science and engineering. For fucks sake, alchemists had better moral codes than today's scientists. One reason for that is because most people become passionate about *the thing they lack*. Like, Mark Zuckerberg is the LAST person who should be developing social networks; he's so socially awkward it's not even funny.
