rule 4 is wrong .the dicrotic notch of the unnassisted beat is higher.extept if you mean assisted during diastole .beat 2 is assisted during systole however the previous beat(beat 1) is assisted during diastole .helpful video.thanks.

please review this video, it is confusing for two reasons. Initially you say that 'E' represents unassisted systole then you say it is assisted systole i now recognise the first statement to be incorrect but it took me longer to work out. Secondly you say that 'B1' is the assisted beat diachronic notch when you clearly say that 'A'represents unassisted systole so which is it?

Systole balloon deflation reduces afterload more so than systolic balloon inflation which skyrockets afterload like pulmonary saddle embolus and cause right heart failure. My question is this. Is afterload reduced even more so in a IABP heart at systolic balloon deflation than a non-IABP heart at systole?
