The historic district of Intramuros is home to sights from the Spanish colonial era such as the Fuerza de Santiago with a large stone gate and a shrine to the national hero José Rizal. The elaborate Manila Cathedral has bronze paintings and stained glass windows. Religious works of art and statues are displayed in the Museum of the San Agustín Church. Furniture and art from the Spanish colonial era can be seen in the Casa Manila museum. Horse-drawn carriages (kalesas) run along the cobblestone streets of the neighborhood. - Google
