If you paint your loupe with matte black paint on the inside, (not the lens obviously) you won’t need the cloth cover when focusing.

Before you even begin to work the zone system, it's important first to find out the real speed of a B&W film and then find the exact development time (with your standard developer) - both to find the maximum black point and maximum white white. You have to do tests. Of course, it might not be fully adapted to salt printing. Usually, real speed of FP-4 is ISO 80.

Nice video Eduardo! It could be interesting if you do another one with large format. If I may I would like to ask you if you know a good lab in Santiago de Chile i will be there for few years (Im from Spain) and I never been there before. Thank you!

One day... I've been dreaming of going to 4x5. Largest format I can shoot is the 6x9 on my Mamiya Press camera but it looks puny compared to this! Thanks for sharing, as always.

Ed you can get much less jittery footage if you get an ND filter for your EOS M! Shooting wide open in the daylight without one means you have to compensate with too high of a shutter speed

There is something wrong with that Rodenstock lens of yours. It is not sharp. Either that or your focus is off. Hope you get it fixed, nothing wrong with the pix apart from the focus!

Can you ask him what battery he uses in his spotmeter? I bought the same one but the battery I bought for the highlight meter doesn't seem to work. The low light takes a standard 9 volt I know.
@chdorner7 жыл бұрын
Hmm, do you maybe have an older Pentax analog meter that is different from mine? I'm using a Pentax Spot Meter V, which according to the manual takes either G13 or 1.5V silver oxide batteries, so I'm just using A76/LR44 batteries. I just did a quick Google search and it looks like Pentax might have changed the battery requirements at some point.

Oh I probably do. Mine is the darker brown I believe. I'll probably have to take it to the shop for for repair. Thanks for the reply!

@edpavez7 жыл бұрын
Pues no necesitas hablar inglés. Todos mis videos tienen subtítulos en español. Solo tienes que activarlos en la barra de herramientas de KZbin.

I appreciate the artist. They write the musical scene then they perform the act with prints. In today's age, just too many musical scores and not enough performances.
@chdorner7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this lovely comment! I don't print all of my photos (this would be way too much work unfortunately), but at least when I form a project around a set of photos and trying to tell a story with them, that's where I go to the darkroom and print these negatives.

The more I look the Intrepid’s the less I like them, they look like fragile toys. So the first dude owns and does the whole thing, you just stole his camera for one shot and call it your video. Kind of harsh honestly.
@josephbergel52346 жыл бұрын
Sadly , won’t be subscribing due to the sample image being at least two contrast grades too flat ....it seems your metering well ... perhaps it’s developed wrong, or just not an eye yet for printing :(
@edpavez6 жыл бұрын
So you subscribe to youtube channels or not depending on the images being two contrast grades too flat or not? That’s- welp, ok.
