If I do not travel through your town or I am nowhere near you, we can do the set up via the web leveraging my Remote Tuning service.

Yes, some videos are for my business to succeed as I don't work for free, nor do you. So at this point, we all have to earn $$ and I put out a lot ogf free content.

Im intrested to see how you get the front to match the rear in terms of total sag
@catalystreactionsbw

We know what the front is so the rear preload adjuster is used along with damping to get the sag matched. From there, ride and see how much fork and shock travel is used. Then adjust based on needs.

Can adjusting the suspension make the seat height higher or lower??

Static sag = 12-15mm set via preload, compression damping set at 50% of the range, rebound set at 2.5 turns out. Cold oil, initial settings and has to be ridden to get hot oil allowing rebound to be set correctly.

What happened to the daze of the Suzuki T500 Cobra 2 stroke street bikes? These newer 1000 4 strokes are heavy junk imo. Even Valentino Rossi is retiring, dam Im getting old

BULLSHIT, Mr. Dave Moss got it completely backwards, SAG is a number of how much suspension is already compressed, so more it's compressed(high SAG number) the less length it has left to compress more. For example if you have 120mm suspension travel and 40mm rider SAG suspension has 80mm left to absorb(compress more) a bump. So when you hit a bump it will "whack" into the shocks if you have too much SAG !!! Hence it's the number how much length suspension has to extend into the pothole Do some homework Mr. Dave

Static sag is the suspension extended and the bike at rest. Rider sag is the bike at rest and rider on board. Add both together to get total sag. Is static or rider sag backwards sir?

@@catalystreactionsbw listen from 2:05 to 3:25 that whole genrorous SAG philosophy is wrong, thats whats backwards ;)

I just watched the section you disagree with. He describes the static sag correctly. I think you're struggling (somewhat justifiably) with his depiction of what Static Sag actually does, specifically when he says it keeps the suspension from "whacking" into you when you hit a bump. He is not talking about the whack that occurs when suspension bottoms out. When there is no Static Sag (the amount the fork/shock compresses under the motorcycle's own weight), the spring releases all the energy it absorbed during the compression stroke to the full extension of the fork/shock's travel on the rebound stroke. In your example of 120mm of travel, if the 40mm of sag is all Rider Sag, thus no Static Sag, the spring will release energy (continue pushing) for the entire 120mm, and a "whack" occurs as the fork/shock reaches its extension limit; it mechanically "tops out" which is the opposite of the whack when it reaches its mechanical compression limit, when it "bottoms out." Static Sag allows the spring to reach the end of its extension stroke before the fork/shock assembly reaches the end of its mechanical extension. In other words, the spring stops pushing when the fork/shock still has room to extend. This creates what Dave calls a "dead space". This dead space gives the fork/shock the opportunity to release all the spring's stored energy before hitting the fork/shock's mechanical top out. Without that dead space, the spring just keeps pushing to the mechanical top out whereupon it "whacks" and launches the rider. The static sag dead space is like a relief valve allowing the energy to "pop off" or dissipate into the motorcycle itself, to be absorbed by the weight of the motorcycle; it gets transferred to the motorcycle first instead of passing unimpeded straight into the rider with a whack for good measure.
